Highly recommend!
This is a great product. It’s pricey but it’s one of the few security measures for outward opening doors available. I was skeptical if this would work for my fifth wheel/rv door that opens outward but it does! It took me a couple of try’s to see the best way for it on my door but it was fairly straightforward. I highly recommend this product, it gives me peace of mind knowing that it is on my door.

Wow this is so heavy and strong!!
This item is perfect for securing doors that open outward. We have had such an increase in crime due to covid quarantine as well as unemployment, I was trying to find someway to secure my back door. This more than does the job..heavy, solid, secure..it met all my need boxes. Pls dont let the price put you off as this is very heavy and frankly better than a security system. The culprit cannot get into the house so you have time to call police as this item is truly a secure master of safety.

Keep your family safe. This is a great bar that can be attached for outward swing doors. I can sleep at night knowing I did my best to keep her safe.

Highly Effective & Simple Utilize- Great Possible Crises Sit As Advertised-Use Minor Improvement!
This is a more than simple yet beyond effective system. Placed on outward opening door over door handle puts it roughly center of mass of the door and makes it nearly impossible to budge from the other side of the door even with locks and deadbolts unlocked and on hollow-core interior doors.Reason for four stars, is the outer brackets should be made to slide or made wider to fit deeply recessed outward opening doors, such as with the Barracuda floor version available at Amazon.com. Furthermore if the bar itself were made longer or telescoping and outer pads as well as lock positioning bracket loops- x 2, could slide would provide for more install options on various size doors. Otherwise, must be installed on a standard 36-inch door for device to work properly. Additionally, did not come with, or missed, directions for correct drill bit size to install hanging bracket that comes with device???Conclusion: As per sales demo video, it is true that in crises situations- for people not used to such, and even those used to them- fine motor skills and cognitive abilities do degrade significantly, and this device is beyond simple to install on a door in mere seconds, as advertised and especially if one were to practice lock-down drills routinely!

Doesn't fit any of our classroom doors
I bought this for my classroom at my students' requests and had the same issue, including the manufacturer disregarding my attempt to get help. I even had it welded to extend it, because I had already spent so much on it, but it still didn't work. When I called for advice with adapting it, the manufacturer basically said tough luck. I asked it they would consider making different sizes of the latching mechanism and they blew off my feedback. I thought with all of the school incidents recently, they would be a little less blaze about helping a teacher who paid out of pocket to protect her students.
