Indispensible
Initially Lee's books were recommended by a friend. I really appreciate having this book as a resource, as well as her Setting The Record Straight book. Homeschooling through high school made me worry I was going to ruin my children's chances of getting into college. Not because he's not a great student, but because I am so disorganized and haven't a clue as to how to make his portfolio look professional. Lee helps you feel it's completely doable. She is super encouraging in her writing and an expert in her field. She is the shot in the arm I needed! Additionally, she has a TON of online help on her website. Lots of freebies, webinars, printouts, blog articles that answer lots of questions. Instead of my usual disorganization, I now have a binder with printouts, outlines, my notes from her webinars and another bind with all my son's important papers. I'm not perfect, but I am on a mission! As a result, I have a sharp looking transcript for my high school son and now starting on great course descriptions. I appreciate having a mentor who's been there and knows what colleges are looking for. Having my ducks in order has helped decrease the uncertainty and stress of the process. Thank you, Lee!

Currently, my daughter and I are starting the BIG college search. Yet where do we start? How do you pick a college for my child? How do you apply for Financial Aid? Where do we go for scholarships? As a home school student are we able to apply to Ivy League schools? Applying to college today is much more complicated then back "in the day".All our questions have been answered with Lee's book. The book is easy and quick to read, as well as insightful. My daughter and I have started a notebook using the forms in the resource section of the book. This is a most buy book!Thank you Lee!

A very useful book for preparing your studnet's profile and transcript for applying to colleges
I recommend this book for any parent who is involved in home school activity. I have three grandchildren who are home schooled. I have found the book to be very informative for realizing how the special interest and passions of each child can be recorded as school credit on a transcript. The Author explains what colleges look for in an applicant, besides their just having completed certain courses. This book is a great investment for any parent who intends to have their child go to college. .

Yes homeschooled students do go to college
Lee Binz as always does an excellent job helping homeschooling parents and their students find their way through the sometimes complex and confusing world of college admissions. Lee's books help you to understand what the college admission people are looking for, and how to translate your own homeschool experience into a language they will understand and respect. She also does a good job explaining what is actually required of you and what areas allow some flexibility. If your homeschooled son or daughter is college bound, this book will be a great resource for your whole family.

Water damaged
This book was described as being in "very good" condition, but its cover and all interior pages were heavily water damaged and then dried, leaving them wrinkled. This is by no means very good.

Good guidance
This book will give you good guidance to homeschool through high school. I didn’t agree with every single thing, but most of it is spot on.
