I own three of these chargers, each one connected to one of three Yeti 1000CORE battery packs. The three chargers are plugged into a switchable 3-socket DC plug (Search Amazon for YANTU Cigarette Lighter Adapter) which allows me to select which battery pack to charge by pressing a little button on that adapter, accessible while I drive. It's a really nice setup and these chargers have yet to fail me after more than a year of nearly constant travel.Originally, I was using an AC inverter to plug in the AC charger that comes with the Yeti but that is very inefficient and ultimately killed my alternator. Was so happy to find that these DC chargers exist.. and they work great! In fact I run mine on 5amp mode (not 10amp) and my Yetis seem to charge pretty darn quickly. I've come to learn that I can have the AC inverter on the Yeti powering something, maybe a laptop or two for instance, and, at 5amps charging the Yeti will keep charged and even increase charge if the load is low enough.. so when I'm driving I can have a few AC powered things running without depleting Yeti battery power.

Used this to finish charging my Yeti 6000x and didn't get overly warm and charged at full power rating. Nice accessory.

I like that I can charge my 200x as I drive. Super useful.

Tried this charger for the first time today and maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, but I left the car idling in driveway to top off my 1000x and it only gained 3% charge in 2 hours. Faster to use the solar panels: got 10% battery life added in 45 min. I would've driven around for faster charge but there's a tree blocking the road 🤷🏻‍♀️

I used this quite a bit on my trip to the artic circle. works like a charm.

This product will only work if your car battery is strong regardless of whether the car is running or not.I tried it out with my Goal Zero 500x to charge it in my old 2010 Subaru Outback. The red LED lights up, but when I plug it into the front or back 8mm barrel port, the blue LED on the 500x does not light up and it won't charge.However, if I plug into a newer vehicle, the LED on this charger lights up GREEN and I can charge 5 or 10 AMPs. Currently pulling 120W of charge through this charger.I had left a bad review earlier. So before you leave one, make sure your car has a strong battery. If it is on the fritz, it might still start your car, but it is not enough voltage to get this thing going.
