Works perfectly in my Dell Inspiron 3847
The old memory was only CL11 so I looked around to see if I could find anything faster. These are CL9 and there is a noticeable boost in performance. I wasn't sure if they would work in my Dell Inspiron 3847 but happy to report that they installed without any issues and are working perfectly.

Amazing product, as long as you also have an amazing graphics card as well!
Now let me explain something, getting this much ram is a MUST... I don't care what you say, even if its "I wil never have to use this much ram ever!" This card just makes your PC that much faster. HOWEVER, If you think you can all of a sudden run heavy games like COD, than think again... yes this does make it easier to run games and programs... you MUST also get a better graphics card.Like the saying goes "RAM will only ever go as far as your graphics card can go..." this means that if you have NVIDIA GT 1030 than that means your RAM will never be able to surpass 12GB of usage without slowing your computer down to a crawl. I may have 32GB of RAM, but because of my poor graphics card... I cannot use my computer to all of its potential. So this product is prolly one of the best ones you can get (unless you want to go overboard), but I also HIGHLY reccomend you get a better graphics card that can actually withstand the ammount of RAM you are abaout to buy or use.

You must enable XMP in your BIOS!
Initially I thought I’d been had as the memory came up a PC1333 in BIOS. A quick review of my motherboard manual revealed that the eXtreme Memory Profile (XMP) must be manually enabled for this DRAM to be correctly configured. Once I did that CPU-Z confirmed it was indeed PC1600 Corsair DDR3 Dual Channel memory. My processor is a I7-3770K Gen 2 device and worked fine once I had the BIOS correctly configured. Yes, it’s a Gen 2 processor so this DRAM is comparable with at least the i7-3770K Second Generation CPU. XMP may not work on all models so be sure to check that your exact CPU and motherboard’s does support XMP. Also of note that I was able to manually set PC1600 as the DRAM clock rate with no issues when XMP was off, but I’d recommend you verify your MB/CPU supports XMP.

Great RAM set; awful price GOUGING ISSUES (5 stars for RAM, 0 stars for pricing practice)
These RAM modules themselves are top performers. They run steady with every XMP profile. No overheating problems (tested on a GIGABYTE Z97X MoBo). Highly efficient heat sinks featuring quite cool & professional styling. Keep in mind that these modules with their rather tall heat sinks may interfere with some larger-sized CPU coolers, though. So, take careful measurements before installing this RAM kit.On a negative note that has nothing to do with the technical specs, this 2x8GB kit has exploded in price OVERNIGHT from ~$70 to ~$86 US. I needed to buy another 2x8GB kit in addition to an existing one. But, due to this price gouging nonsense, instead of buying this RAM kit from AMAZON, I bought it elsewhere for even less that $70 (new). Basically, screw those here who practices this kind of pricing policies till their threads wear out flat! Good day!

Great price, excellent quality I expect from Corsair.
Memory is very stable. I had to force my old 6 year old Pegatron 2ACE Motherboard to recognize the XMP profile to make it run at 1600 max, but that could very well have been the fault of the mainboard. Memory runs at the advertised latency and clock rate, and the price was good. I have 2 of these kits for a total of 32gb of RAM in quad channel format.

Great RAM for an upgrade to an older system
I've long been a fan of Corsair products. I've been working from home since March, and I was running into severe lack of memory problems in my PC. I've got an older i7 970 on an x58 board (runs DDR3 in a triple channel config), and back when I built it, the 6gb I had was plenty. I ran into the issue of having to buy multiple sets. I decided to pull out all the stops and max out the board's 48gb supported (8gb x6 slots). As people have stated, it runs at 1333 unless you enable the XMP profile.I'm not in a rush to build a new computer, since I'm not playing AAA games (World of Warcraft is the most intensive game I play), so I just wanted to update some of the components in my PC to help keep up with the growing system requirements for a lot of the games nowFor the price, this is an excellent option to anyone who's just upgrading an old system that they're not ready (or able) to replace.

Solid, easy-to-install memory upgrade from Corsair
The simplest memory upgrade I've ever done. I had a single 8GB stick of Samsung RAM and was going to try to find another 8GB of RAM, but I've found RAM to be pretty finicky. So I decided to just go and get 2-8GB sticks of this Corsair RAM. The built quality is excellent (far superior to the single stick of RAM I was replacing). I shut my computer down, pulled the old stick, put these two in, powered it back up. Done in under 5 minutes.I'm not sure why, but as a (possibly unrelated) side effect, my monitor resolutions appear crisper now. I am just using the on-board Intel graphics chip as my graphics card was failing as well, so possibly the boost in RAM also increased graphics capabilities of the motherboard?Either way, I'm very glad I made this upgrade!

Worked perfectly along with my existing RAM
I didn't know whether these would work with my motherboard (Asus P8Z68-V pro Gen 3). Just to try, I installed them along with my existing RAM (2x4GB) and they worked great. The computer just saw the new rams and now I have 24 GB of memory instead of 16GB I was hoping for. I don't know if I will encounter any problems later. I am just an end user. But everything works smoothly now and I bought them for a very good price.
