Excellent beginners boomerang
I chose this boomerang after having watched a top 10 boomerangs video on YouTube. Don't listen to the trash talking in Amazon reviews. This was the second favorite of the reviewer on YouTube. I just ordered another one. This boomerang will come back to you, depending on the conditions and your skill at throwing. It is a good flyer, and my family has enjoyed it very much. It's also good for smaller areas, as it has a fairly short flight arc. The checkerboard pattern on one of the lobes is wearing off pretty quickly. But that can't be helped. I would recommend this booma without hesitation as a suitable beginner boomerang. June 14th 2020 - I have been throwing this boomerang several hours per week for about a month now. I have developed the strength in my arm and adjusted my throwing style to the point where I am now getting consistent returns to the point of origin, and frequent catches. I would also note, per the complaint of the gentleman from Saudi Arabia, this boomerang will injure you if you take a direct hit. My daughter was struck directly in the kneecap, and it bled pretty good. So be careful, when catching!

cool toy
my kid wanted a boomerang for Christmas and we bought this one. we went to amazon to choose a boomerang and he was interested in this one for some reason. when he opened it for Christmas he was a bit disappointed that it was small but when he threw it it looked so cool even to me. he loved it a lot and was quite good at throwing it. but then our dog was messing with my son by stealing the boomerang and when he got it back there were bite marks. he was so sad until he threw it again to see how messed up it was. it flew around and came right back to him . this boomerang is invincible

Highly recomend for a fun family activity
Wow, whoever thought throwing a boomerang was so difficult!! My kids and I still have a blast with it! Im sure with a little more practice, we will not have to chase it down! Highly recomend for a fun family activity!

Not a Toy
Maybe you watched the boomerang dude perfect video and were like "hey that seems fun" and then you order this and quickly realize "hey this might kill me". Looks like it would be foam or soft plastic, but it is hard. Works reasonably well for the purpose, but comes screaming back at you, ready to chop your head off.

Easy beginner boomerang
It's a nice little boomerang. I initially thought that spending over fifteen dollars on a plastic boomerang was a bit risky, but after it came in and we played with it for a bit I found it is very durable and actually comes back with some practice. It DOES take a lot of practice, so don't throw the instructions away, but it's a great boomerang for a 3 year old and his clumsy mom (me lol)

Many better options
The boomerang is rather flimsy and too light compared to other boomerangs of a similar price. I got this boomerang after losing the Polypropylene Pro Sports Boomerang. I thought the three pronged boomerang would be more accurate, but it doesn't even fly far. It loses momentum at the end of its flight. Thus, DO NOT BUY if you actually want a sturdy boomerang. I would recommend the Polypropylene Pro Sports Boomerang, which is the same price, flies much farther, faster, and is easier to control.

A great beginner's boomerang
As a newbie, I knew when I purchased this rang that I would likely have an easier time learning with it (vs. a traditional two-wing rang). And I wasn't disappointed. It took me a couple of days to figure the right way to throw it(1) Use a 45° layover in relatively low wind conditions(2) Throw about 45° to the right of the wind direction(3) Use a decent amount of force and maximize spin which is relatively easy to generate with this rang(4) I also played around with positive dihedral (bending arm up) and positive angle of attack (counter-clockwise twist of arm ends)The layover angle, spin and dihedral/angle of attack are perhaps the most critical. This rang does a 25-yard elliptical loop climbing into the air and coming back to you with a gentle hover to easily catch :-)A great rang for beginners!
