Great for my RC planes.
I use this for my RC planes and it is perfect. Love how easy it is to take apart and transport then reassemble. It cradles my planes beautifully while I install the batteries prior to flight or even when I home fixing them after I crash. (Which happens a lot unfortunately.) I need to buy at least two more of these.

Sturdy Stand for R/C Planes and Powerboats
R/C Model Size -- From a sizing standpoint, this stand has been a generally good fit with my park flyer / backyard R/C aircraft and sub-30" LOA R/C powerboats.Flippable Supports -- Note that the upright supports can be inverted so the wide jaws are up and the narrow jaws are down. For example, I found that using one support wide-up and one support narrow-up to be a good fit for high-wing aircraft which often have wider, flat-ish fuselage forward, and for monohull deep-v boats.(Semi-)Fixed Gap -- The uprights anchor themselves very firmly in the receiver slots at each end of the base, but unlike the X-supports/Cross-bars design, distance between supports is obviously fixed -- except that you can friction fit a support in one of the inner trays to shrink the gap between supports (trays same width as the end slots). While this might be fine for quick maintenance like a battery change or a pushrod adjustment, note that support will be floating a bit and might be knocked over sideways if you're doing some serious work.Hard Plastic / Cushioning -- This is not a styrofoam stand -- the uprights are a hard smooth (slippery) plastic, so the product is supplied with a couple of sticky-backed, black, foam rubber strips which can be affixed to the jaws. There's enough material to do a pair of jaws generously, or just enough to cut the strips into multiple pieces if you want to use both wide and narrow sides of the jaws. A strip of 'velcro felt' would also work well to provide some grip and it might conform to the jaw curves a bit better.Packing / Base Color -- Not a big deal, but if packing the stand for travel, note that uprights don't quite fit flat within the footprint of the base -- they stick out a bit even if the jaws are nested. For those wondering which color base (grey or yellow) is shipping, I bought one of these in late September and it too came through with a grey base and blue uprights -- something which I prefer.Overall -- a sturdy option for many r/c models, with very little play or wobble and the added flexibility of flipping the jaws.

Excellent choice for a travel/field stand.
This rc airplane stand is a great piece of gear. It's simple to set up, very sturdy, can hold my 1400mm bush plane with ease (both upside down and right side up with no clearance issues), breaks down nice and flat, and is very affordable. Pick up a few if you need them. I use one for home, and one in my travel/field kit.

Why didn't I buy this sooner.
I like the light weight sturdy construction. I was fortunate enough to receive one which had a grey base and blue uprights, much prefer this over yellow. The stand feels durable and supports the various air frames I need it too.The biggest planes I have had on there to date are the Diamond 2500, a 2.4 meter foam glider and a Super Sky Surfer similar in many ways to the diamond 2500 but with a more stout fuselage.I like the molded compartments below. I constantly lose pieces like small screws and washers for example, because I have a habit of taking out hardware and just setting it on the work surface. I have to retrain myself to utilize the compartments to hold my hardware so as to not lose them in the shuffle.I also like that I can pull up the uprights and the whole thing fits in a bag I bring to the field reasonably well. To date the uprights still fit in the base snugly. This is one of those "why didn't I buy this along time ago" purchases. It makes it so much more enjoyable working on my air frames. No more rolling around and trying to upright an air frame with various objects within reach. One gripe I had initially was that the unit was pretty slippery on my work surface. I have actually come to appreciate this as it make maneuvering the stand and whatever fuselage I'm working on more easily. I'm sure I could affix something with grip to the bottom if need be to prevent it from sliding.Additionally I bought this stand as the idea of a foam stand offered by others did not appeal to me. I may try one in the future though.

Great tool for it’s purpose
Great tool! Makes working on my model airplanes much easier. The soft rubber cushions make it easy to adjust the plane to the proper position and keeps it in that place until you decide to move it.

Works great on my E-Flite Timber X 1.2M & Valiant 1.3M, perfect as work & transport stand!
Good quality, seems to fit well for aircraft of the small up to 1.5m or probably even larger sizes. Good cushion so won't damage your foam planes. It comes with two parts trays molded into the stand and what I really like is how well it grips on carpet and rubber floormats when driving. You can put your plane on this stand and use as way to carry your aircraft in the car without worry about the stand moving around and damaging your aircraft during transport.I looked at other popular stands in this price point, but this is probably the best one out there. I plan on buying another one.
