Hp Ultraslim Docking Station 2013 - Docking Station - Smart Buy (Renewed)

Item is working perfectly and was delivered within 3 days of ordering. Minor issue with power supply not being included but resolved and delivered within 2 days of receipt of main item. Excellent customer service and therefore well deserved 5 stars.

Overall this is a great value product. There are a number of things to note before you leap in though.1. No HDMI Ports - this has two displayport ports which is fine for me (once I found my old displayport cable.2. It comes with a power supply (which is good) but the socket for the power is the larger HP one (i.e. different to the socket on my HP Elitebook laptop) not a problem but something to be aware of.3. You may need to update the firmware on the Docking station. After a week of use my monitor (on the display port) stopped working - I checked with a different display port cable and same problem - this impacted both displayports. I changed over to vga cable and all ok but was getting ready to return for a refund before I found some references to firmware. For the firmware update to work you need to have the monitor plugged into the display port - it took me a while to find this out (it worked with both the vga and displayport cables plugged in at the same time). After the update displayport now working ok. No idea why it worked at first then stopped but hey!!

For ten euro, you cant really go wrong! An adapter for any one of the various ports provided with this item would cost close to that alone anyway!

This item arrived earlier than the forecast deliver and was well protected in the packaging. I carried out a comprehensive test of all the ports and everything is working. Look like new and came with a power supply withe the correct mains lead. This has been amazing value for money.

No power pass through, hub works, firmware will NOT update, has the display port bug that you can't resolve as a result. VGA works fine.No idea why power pass through isn't working, it lights up to show power is connected, unless it requires a bespoke psu (that wasn't included) and that's why, or a firmware bug.As a result it isn't easy to use at all, effectively an awkward paperweight. Go for the later usb C models instead."Renewed" product, no power supply included and none will be sent according to the seller.Please don't make the mistake I did and read the reviews thinking you will get the same service.

I have an 840 G6 and the dock works great, there is a minor issue that came up on day one, apparently if the firmware isn't updated and you are using a DVI converter cable it stops the WiFi from connecting to the internet, very random issue. Make sure you update the firmware when you get it and it works perfectly.

Its ok but no charging cable, had to buy seperate. Comes only with dock, no cables

Very good product able to use vga or display port for multiple monitors without having to keep plugging cables into my laptop everytime i leave work would recommend.
