PSUs are pretty simple - they either work or they dont. This one works.First thing - you get a PSU tester in the box so you can verify that the one you got is good before installing it. That is really nice. Getting everything in and cable managed only to find out your PSU is bad sucks. So its trouble shooting your MB, CPU, RAM, and GPU on a bench only to find out its the PSU. It was great to go into the build knowing the PSU was functional.The cables are high quality and there are enough to manage almost any build. This includes older Molex connectors just in case you need those (I did).I gave it 5 stars for noise level because I couldn't give it 10. It makes no noise. And Im not talking about in the hybrid mode, Im talking fan on all the time. It simply makes no noise under a normal load. Im sure if I put a power hungry CPU and GPU in my box I could stress it but with an R5 3600 slightly overclocked on a TUF Gaming x570 motherboard and an RTX 2060 Super its not breaking a sweat or making a bit of noise.Great PSU, nicely packaged and dead quiet. About as good as it gets.

I haven't bought a new PSU or built a PC in 7+ years. Seasonic is respected as one of the best brands in the industry, and mine fired up normally and my system is operating without issue. It was great buying a fully modular PSU as it really allowed me to manage cables effectively to maximize airflow. It's so quiet that I actually needed to make sure the fan was spinning when I tested it.NOTE: Confirm that the Hybrid mode button is correctly selected when testing. I didn't notice this when testing and initially freaked out that I may have had a dead PSU, since the fan wasn't spinning, which is a function of hybrid mode. Also, this may be isolated to my apartment building where they cut corners in many places during construction, but my PSU wouldn't turn on when plugged directly into the wall outlet. I plugged it into a surge protector (which was plugged into the wall outlet) and it fired up 100% fine.

You never go wrong with this brand, the PSU is silent and you dont need to worry about quality, the cosumer service of the brand is so far good.

I bought the Seasonic Focus GX-650 when my Corsair CM650 started going south after 7-8 years of loyal service. I heard good things about Seasonic's Focus series and I was looking for a fully modular experience. The 80 PLUS Gold rating didn't hurt things, since I'm a stickler for thermal efficiency (less energy used = less heat = less fan).Pros1. It feels high quality. The I/O switch has a nice click to it as does the hybrid fan mode switch.2. The cables are very easy to work with compared to some others I've tried. Nice and bendable, although the ATX cable is still a bit stiff (as they all are).3. Fully modular means I don't have to figure out how to hide cables I don't need.4. Mounted easily in my case with no problems. It's a standard sized PSU, but it feels small for a standard sized PSU.5. The cables were long enough for my Cooler Master Masterbox Lite case, but only just barely. Taller cases may give you some trouble.6. Included all the cables I needed.7. 80 PLUS Gold certified.8. Hybrid fan mode (when enabled) turns the fan off when the PSU is under a certain voltage and keeps it at a specific speed when under specific voltages. I don't have this enabled because turning the fan off scares me a little (my GPU and laptop both do it as well), but it's a cool feature I may enable someday.Cons1. Nothing as of yet, but I've only had it for a week or two.Assuming this thing doesn't die on me in the relatively near future, I'll consider this a good purchase. The brand has a 10 year warranty on the thing so hopefully if it does break, Seasonic won't mind sending me another one (or repairing mine). In any case, this is a solid purcahse.

I always get Seasonic's... they are one of the best OEM PSU makers after all! It is nice to see that they are including two CPU connectors now and their high-current modular plugs work for either CPU mobo or PCIe power (of course the cables themselves have to be distinct as the pin-out is different). The fan mode switch is great as usual... its so quiet I always like to just leave it running to reduce the amount of heat dissipated into the case.And, of course, having a short depth is great for cases like the venerable Fractal 500, which is still one of the best non-frilly cases one can get for a tower-air-cooled setup. Leaves plenty of room for the modular cables going into the power supply without interfering with the GPU.-Matt

I bought the FOCUS GX-650 to replace Corsair and Cooler Master PSUs that had both died at around 5 years use each; both right after their warranties expired.Seasonic seems to be a well-respected and reliable brand and this PSU has a 10 year warranty. Hopefully, it will last that long. Only time will tell but so far so good.

I have two Dell mid towers. I wanted a better video card (GPU). The better GPUs require a larger power supply(PSU). The first PSU I installed on my own PC, but it was longer and less wattage. I had to remove everything from the case to install it and retain the side cover latch. This Seasonic Focus GX-650 fits in my roommate's PC without a hitch due to its length! Now we both have upgraded our Dells with SSD X 1 TB, RAM X 16GB, PSU, and GPU. Both PCs are I-7.I recommend Seasonic Focus GX-650 for Wattage, Price, and especially the ease of installation!

Love the size, modularity, efficiency, acoustics, and 10-yr warranty. Love the value; best power for the price and for the reputation. Time will tell but it works well for my new build. The smaller size gives me more room for cable management. SATA power plugs spaced perfectly apart for my Lian Li Lancool II Mesh.
