Was easy to install on my 2020 F150 and works great!
It was as simple as removing the plastics (watched a YouTube video on how to do it) plugging in the brake controller and then using forscan to update the software to tell the truck that it had a brake controller. Whole thing took about 45 minutes and most of that was waiting for my free trial of forscan. It was a bit more pricey than the cheap knockoffs but I haven’t had any issues with a dead battery like people were reporting with the cheaper ones.

Perfect, easy install but seek YouTube videos
Perfect oem part from Ford. Easy install. Quick Forscan update required so buy the adapter, too. Very easy with a pc.TIP - AVOiD the cheaper similar items from china (you can tell if the Ford part number sticker is missing in photos) - the cheaper parts install and setup exactly the same but my 2020 F150 XLT had a dead battery the next day. I returned and re-ordered only to have dead battery again. So, then I bought the Ford OEM part and no problems!! This is an easy upgrade if your truck has the tow package because all wiring will be there. (Without tow package, you might be missing harness - easy to check before ordering this part. You will also need the 30amp fuse.)

Much better than going to the dealership!
Products fits and works as intended. Took maybe 2 hours to install, but half of that spent figuring out how to get my laptop to "see" the truck in FORScan. The rest was pulling apart the dash and putting it back together after the controller is plugged in. Once FORScan is properly connected, the computer part of the install is pretty simple. Youtube is your friend. With FORScan working, there are a number of other features on your truck you can enable as well!

Battery Drain Brake Module Fault message
I bought this brake controller and installed using Forscan. The manual controls never worked? The brake controller did work partially. Now I am experiencing Battery drain when the truck sits for a few days.Getting the Brake Module Fault message on the dash. I am wondering if this was in fact a OEM part?

Worked on a Ford 2018 F150 XLT V8 with no tow package
Physical Installation is surprisingly simple. Wire harness that connects directly to this was already in my truck. This unit even came with the factory fuse that is an odd size and a little harder to find.2 Very important things to know:-If you don't already have a working factory brake controller you must check your f150 to ensure that it has wiring for a fuse, in fuse slot #24. If there is no wiring in that spot then your truck is not pre-wired for this, which will make installation much more difficult. I have heard of trucks WITH a tow package but no wiring in this spot.-Once you install this you need to activate it through the truck's computer. I used Forscan to activate it, once I had a working OBD II adapter with the proper BUS on it I was able to do it in 5 minutes. Otherwise you will have to go a dealership to activate it. I spoke to my dealership and they told me it couldn't be done because I didn't have a tow package. I was able to however get it working with Foscan.

Works. OEM. Great Price. Easy Install
Really easy install. You take out the cubby and plug the module into the cubby’s plug. You’ll need a premium ForScan license and a ForScan supported OBD2 connector to turn it on within the ECU. It’s a little difficult to make a Russian transaction with the ongoing Ukraine conflict. They do have a free premium trial which I used. You can trust ForScan. It was originally created by a group of Russian Ford Focus tuners. It’s grown into much more obviously. It’s much more robust and reliable than other ODB2 readers.
