CERAKOTEH-Series Oven Cure Starter Kits

I purchased this product as I’m the type to buy the equipment needed to do several of my own projects vs paying someone else once .There was a minor issue of a missing component and with in 6 hrs I had a response, a resolution AND they rushed overnight. I can’t tell you how great their customer service is .This product has a meticulous procedure that MUST be followed for AWESOME results!My problem was an oven for curing, I plan on making one with 16” diameter and 40” tall ….. I will use a meat smoker for the body ( an old refrigerator would work well as it is insulated) and install an electric heating element w/thermostat! Construction will be done in less than a day and for less than $350 . 120’-450’ temps .So it covers the spectrum of temps needed for the curing process.I have used brownells with excellent results but my expectations here are going to be way beyond that .Cerakote H series is an excellent choice for custom coating knives, gun parts and other plastic parts .THE PROCEDURES CAN HAVE NO DEVIATION!!! Follow to a T for great results! You’ll need a sand blaster ,a heated tank for degreasing parts , hangers , silicone plug kit,an outdoor or very well ventilated spraying area and the custom oven to cure parts.( don’t use the kitchen oven !! Only use a designated oven ( home built or commercial)Very excited to finally be able to get this process set up and soon to be operational!!!

Everything as advertised. A dropper top on the additive would really help and a pouring spout on the colors but I had great results with this product

There is no markings on the spray gun. It differs from the iwata in the pictures. It worked ok for the first two ceracotes I did. Yes I strain the cerakote before I put it in the hopper. The third time I used it after thoroughly cleaning it, it started spitting globs of paint. I cleaned it again n was still not working properly. Bought another gun n it works fine

Have used Cerakote for years and the product is good. However, I was very disappointed that there were no instructions for either the Cerakote itself or the HVLP spray gun.Also, this gun is considerably lower quality than the Iwata gun Cerakote sold in the past.If ordered directly from their website you can choose which colors you want.While you can find instructions for Cerakote (NOT the HVLP spray gun) on their website, it would take vast quantities of toner/ink to print them out. In the past an Instruction Booklet was included in the kits - I guess they saved about 2 cents by not including one with the $200 kit.

Cant wait to try this out. Hopefully, the cost is recovered from the first use. Local shops charge $200.00 to cerakote.
