Reliable
I don’t have to worry that my photos will disappear while transferring them to my computer. It’s a reliable product that I already love!

very good card reader
I bought two of these because I use CF cards for installing Windows 95 and Windows 98 on my IBM Aptiva from 1996. Once I successfully install windows I take the card out and clone it to another CF card for a back up so that when I eventually corrupt the windows install trying to get the Voodoo 3DFX video card to work, then all I have to do is clone my back up to the card and then try other settings/drivers until I can get everything to play well together. Old computers are fun but can be a big pain to get them to work correctly. I finally did get the ISA sound card to work...one small victory.

Great product no bent pins works with iPad Pro
I’ve had this for a few months only thing is I need an adapter and can hook it up to my iPad Pro so I can edit directly in Lightroom using the cf reader .File transfer is smooth, minus me plugging the card in wrong highly recommend using this card reader.

Good for Compact flash but won't work with IBM microdrives
The product is nice. The insert slot is deeply recessed so it guides the card so the pins won't bend. My camera will take Compact Flash Cards AND IBM Microdrives which pin wise are identical to Compact Flash Cards. However, IBM Microdrives are a tiny bit thicker so they will not fit ( about a mm ). Overall though, it does Compact Flash Cards fine and it looks as if the pins won't bend. I'm paranoid so I gently insert one. But, if you want it to read IBM Microdrives ( I don't know about the thickness of other brands ), you will have to look elsewhere. If you are just looking for a Flash Card Reader ( not SD card ), then I would give it 5 stars. The reader is about 6mm at it's widest so about 3mm from the center line to the widest which will prevent things to be plugged in next to it that are too close.

Secure your vontage DSLR Photos (without bent CF Card Pins)
I love taking photos with film cameras and old digital cameras like my Canon EOS 5D Mark I (Classic) and especially my 10D, which still use CF Cards. The easiest way to download them to my computer is with the CF card. Unfortunately these CF cards are extremely fragile. I lost one card full of great photos from Tokyo because the pins were bent. That’s when I first discovered PixelFlash “No-Bend Pins” Compact Flash Card Readers. This is my second card reader, which is even more wonderful because of the download speed and USB-C plug, which means I don’t need to use an adapter on my computer. Of course you can find cheaper adapters, but these adapters are extremely well made. I can leave this in my backpack and not worry about it getting damaged or not performing. I strongly recommend this adapter. Not having bent pins will allow you to keep using your favorite camera and not lose images. It is well worth this reasonable price.

repeat customer. Much improved design than before.
I am a repeat customer. Here is why I purchased your product.I take a lot of photos and read CompactFlash cards often, which translate to a high dutycycle of reading CompactFlash cards often, I can not afford bent pins in my adapteror possible damage to my cards as well.In addition, It takes too long to download photos directly from the camera and takes too long compared to using a separate card reader. So use of a FAST card reader is very important as well.Prior to using my very first PixelFlash adapter, I used various models from other manufacturers. This often resulted in bent pins.A couple years ago I purchased your PixelFlash adapter with the flex cable. In order Priority of why I bought your product again.1. Reliable Card Insertions (improved further in new model)2. Fast Transfer to my computer compared transfer directly from the camera.3. This new model does not have a flexible USB Cable. This was a PRO for me comparedto the older model. I found the the flex cable comes lose out of the PixelFlash enclosure.See attached photo comparing my old version to the new version I recently purchased. While the old one still works fine, it is bothersome and Im concerned it will fail.So I bought your new version without the flexible cable.Another area of improvement in the new model is that it now no longer allows cardsto be inserted backwards. The older model had a larger opening which allowed you toaccidentally insert ti backwards. This also resulted in difficulty removing the card outof the enclosure it would get trapped within this larger gap. I am happy both my issueshave been resulted in the new design.

No Bend Pins!
I really like the quality for the price and I specifically like the "no bend" pins!! Every other card reader I have had has had to be thrown away due to bent pins. With this, that is eliminated. Very reliable reader, sturdy. Highly recommended.
