I don't know what it is about these World Train Series trains sets, but even with a sealed and taped up box, our first purchase arrived missing one curved track, and a defective (jammed) motorized train car. My 5-year-old son who had been waiting nearly two weeks for the shipment was devastated! We sent it back (got a refund) and ordered a replacement. Regrettably, the second set also arrived with issues and missing pieces. This time we were short two separate track sections, and one of the station pieces had a broken column. As you guessed it, my son was once again in tears. This time however, instead of shipping it back for a refund / replacement, we just made do with what we had and shortened the track to use it as is. A little hot glue for the broken column, and all was well, but I only settled and kept it because my son wanted to play it with so badly. He likes trains, but if it was up to me, I would have sent the second set back as well. Overall quality is subpar, and the lack of quality control leaves a lot to be desired.
