Works, but multiple silicones | Retexturizing Treatment with Glycolic Acid 10x
Lancer is a great brand that produces high quality skincare so I do think this is a great product, but it's frequently disappointing to see multiple silicones in the ingredient list (especially so high in the ingredient list) of a product grazing the $100 price point level. That being said, I love the resurfacing action the glycolic acid offers and the texture of the product is thin, lightweight, and easy to apply with no interfering action against other skincare products. The remaining ingredients of this product besides the silicones are reliably good performers and largely can be expected to produce visibly satisfying results. For me the problem is that the presence of silicones not only can restrict the skin's ability to properly absorb other skincare products, but to me they always are a red flag that a product may be less than optimally effective and be relying somewhat on silicones to produce the visible smoothing and skin-softening effects customers want to see. Sometimes this is the case. Sometimes it isn't. The ingredients in this product would seem to indicate that it will work well over time, and it caused me no irritation during its use, so if you're fine with silicones I would say it's a recommended product overall. If you're someone who is looking to cut them out of your skincare routine, it's one that's best left out for now.

LOVE - Helps with Textured Skin
Retexturizing Treatment with Glycolic Acid 10x, 1.7 FL OZ, Dr. Lancer Dermatology Skincare,MY SKIN LOVES THIS.This is the first Glycol Acid treatment that my skin loves. It doesn't cause irritation or a ton of redness. Yes, the first week was hard but now my skin has settled down and I can see results - my skin texture is much better overall and this really makes a difference when applying foundation since the dry, flakey areas are improving and the pores on my nose look better. I have really dry and sensitive skin. The directions say you can build up to twice a day use but that would be too much for my sensitive and dry skin. Once at bedtime is doing a good job, so maybe when summer is over, I can up it to morning and evening. OMG is this stuff expensive but it is the first glycolic acid that works with my skin and it takes only two pumps to cover my face. I can smell the citrus and lavender in this but it is fresh and not overwhelming - it also fades quickly. Please don't let fear-mongers point out one ingredient that a certain site says is dangerous -Phenoxyethanol- It’s pretty much the current IT preservative. It’s safe and gentle, but even more importantly, it’s not a feared-by-everyone-mostly-without-scientific-reason paraben. You really don't want skincare that doesn't use some sort of preservative since that would cause major issues and damage to your skin from bacteria and mold. Bacteria and mold are bad for your skin. Phenoxyethanol is good and very safe. You would have to use this ingredient as really high concentrations to be an issue.#alcohol-freeKey IngredientsAntioxidant: Tocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, UbiquinoneCell-communicating ingredient: Retinyl PalmitateExfoliant: Glycolic AcidSkin-identical ingredient: Glycerin, Squalane, Sodium Hyaluronate, PhospholipidsSoothing: Camellia Sinensis Leaf ExtractALL INGREDIENTS BY FUNCTIONAntimicrobial/antibacterial: C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) OilAntioxidant: Ascorbyl PalmitateBuffering: Glycolic Acid, Ammonium HydroxideChelating: Disodium EDTAEmollient: C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Squalane, C13-14 Isoparaffin, PhospholipidsEmulsifying: Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Laureth-7Moisturizer/humectant: Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed GlycosaminoglycansPerfuming: Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, LinaloolPreservative: Phenoxyethanol, Sodium BenzoateSolvent: Water (Aqua), Cyclopentasiloxane, C13-14 IsoparaffinSurfactant/cleansing: Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Laureth-7Viscosity controlling: Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Xanthan GumIngredientsWater (Aqua), Glycolic Acid, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Polyacrylamide, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Glucoside, Squalane, Ammonium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Ubiquinone, Phospholipids, Retinyl Palmitate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Laureth-7, Disodium EDTA, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Linalool.

slow and steady wins the race!
I have been using Lancer products for a few years now, and every once in a while I'll look at what new stuff they come out with and give them a try. Lancer products uses more chemical ingredients to target problem areas, and is not one of those products that are all natural, holistic, etc - and there's nothing wrong with that. While I try to go the more holistic, gentle route, every once in a while I will use something a little stronger and more science based, such as this particular product. This one has glycolic acid, which helps shed dead skin/skin turnover, letting the "new" skin shine bright. If you have more sensitive skin, I would go easy and give it a patch test first. Also, if you are currently using retinol, I would not layer this stuff on either because that may just be too much for your skin. Luckily I didn't have any negative reaction or irritation to this, and from the one month of use (sparingly), I have seen a reduction of discoloration on my problem areas. I have these sun spots that are starting to pop up on the top of my cheeks (just underneath the eyes, where the sun hits my skin the most), and have started to feel a little self conscious about it. I didn't want to resort to lasering yet so I figured I would try topical solutions first. This has really lighten the discoloration and I can't wait to see what results I get when I finish this bottle. I think I could treat the area a little more aggressively if I use it daily but since this is a little stronger than what I normally use on my skin, I figured I would use this 2-3 times a week. I always make sure to go one day with, one day without, just so I am not overwhelming my skin. I'm a little over a month now from using this product and like I said, I definitely see an improvement in the areas I have been applying this. Lancer products are pricey but I personally have always thought they are worth it, which is why I keep going back to their products despite numerous choices out there in the skincare market.

I have used a few items from the Lancer line
I have been happy with everything I have tried. They come in nice boxes with enough bracing to keep from spilling. This one is a glycolic acid 10% peel and you don't wash it off. After applying the peel, they advise to then add with their Nourish moisturizer. If you feel any burning, wash it off immediately and don't use. Also do not go in the sun, make sure you are using a sun screen because this could cause a sunburn. If you don't have any issues with this, you can use it twice daily.
