A decent MATTE finish screen guard
The screen guard has a matte finish and therefore, is anti-glare, which was my most important criterion. I had expected a thicker guard as these are usually enforced with a thin layer of glass between the plastic layers. But that isn't the case, however, the guard still attaches firmly once you have applied on the iPad screen.I have both the Apple Pencil (1st Generation) and the CaseU alternative and they work very well on this one, providing the perfect texture for writing and drawing. The text also looks good and long hours of reading won't be an issue. The only challenge is to affix it properly as it completely depends upon your skills in this kind of task. If you are not well experienced in applying screen guards, you will end up with a large amount of air gaps, which will probably persist, thereby making the screen look very ugly. In such a case, I suggest you to go to a professional shopkeeper and get it applied on the screen.Overall, it's a decent product for the price. The glass material of matte finish costs almost three times the price of this one, so if you are on a budget, and want to buy a matte finish screen guard for your iPad, you can definitely go for this one.

READ BEFORE PURCHASING IT
Writing this review after 2 months of extensive usage. I purchased this @599/- no discount. If you are here means you are about to make a decision whether to purchase or not to purchase? I hope this will help to take informed decision. So, if you are purchasing this screen guard just for matte feeling and not slipperyless writing then just forget to purchase and get tempered glass screen guard. Why because, they wont reduce the quality of screen ulinke this. Which makes your screen too grainy.I have two ipads one with this and other with tempered glass (M.G.R.J. screen guard. very good quality n quantity). There is huge difference in quality of screen. Now the Question is whether you will be using your ipad for note taking extensively? If yes then direct answer is not yet “purchase it”. Purchase it if you really can’t stand ipads slippery surface writing. Because It does add “some” friction but it definitely suppress screen quality. So if you just annotate and mark pdfs and nothing else then just skip this plan.So in a nutshell, DON’T PURCHASE IF:1. You are looking for just antiglare matte screen guard and if you are thinking it will be good for reading, then a BIG NO.2. You use ipad for nominal writing, annotating pdfs etc.3. If you can’t compromise screen quality.4. If you are thinking it will be “just like paper”PURCHASE IT only if:You really can’t write on bare surface and you write a lot.About quality: its just a thin paper, price not justified. but all matte screen guards are costly so can’t really comment about it. While installation, there always will atleast 3-4 small bubbles. but i dont think its a problem. I installed it myself with two small bubbles and i dont think anybody can install this without a single bubble because it is not a tempered glass and quality is not upto the mark. So initially you will see bubbles but later you will find its not a problem(only in case of small and few bubbles)i hope it will help in your decision. Happy shopping!!!

The application... I started crying midway... The protector is quite expensive and I messed it up.. There were dust particles underneath the protector.. And I had a really tough time getting the air bubbles out.. Some people even encouraged me to stop and quit but due to my strong will to get the aesthetic protector on the iPad I didn't stop.. In the end after 2 more hours of hardwork and sweat(I was tired and demotivated so I started watching TV in between) I was successful in applying the screen protector.. You can see how it went in the pictures.. A few bubbles still left but boi oh boi if you would have seen the ones at the start.. Terrifying is the word I would like to use to describe the application process.. The end result.. Definitely worth it... it does make watching content on the iPad a bit worse because the screen quality definitely deteriorated.. But I like to take notes on the iPad so decided to give it a try.. The screen quality writing wise also changed only a LITTLE bit which was shocking to me.. But one of the problems that I faced with my earlier tempered glass protector was that my hands even tho they werent that oily or dirty always left stains on the glass which really bugged me because they were MAJOR stains.. I had to spend a lot of time to clean the glass but after using this I feel so happy and excited! It doesn't leave stains at all!! Well somewhat like that.. Overall don't buy it if you don't want to take notes.. Think twice before buying for taking notes.. And if you're tired of the stains.. it's absolutely perfect for that.. although it does leave stains if you press too hard.. Decide for yourself.. I would say that it adds only a little bit more friction and might wear off your apple pencil.. So um overall... it was perfect for me.. But wouldn't recommend..?
