Snapper 2012 28" Deck/Spindle Belt for Rear Engine Rider

The old one was coming apart and not very tight from stretch allowing slipping in heavy grass. This belt restored to new condition.

The OEM great fit

Before ordering this belt , I tried to fit one of the Stens aftermarket belts offered via Amazon. Unfortunately, the fit was not even close to original because it seems the descriptions were off. They would show 2 different measurements for some belts.After returning the Stens I searched and searched, cross referencing types, sizes and all that with other web-sites. Then, what seemed to come out of nowhere, this unit showed up. Described exactly for my machine, and only $7 or so more than the aftermarket ones. Only possible difference is that this one was made in China. Not positive about the Stens belts but I figured Snapper must control production quality if they put their name on it.Upon receipt this item was exact match to my broken old belt and smaller and thinner than the Stens. I installed the belt and tested it. Worked perfectly and I cut my grass once more.I'd say if this item fits your machine, go for this original option vs others.

Perfect fit for my Snapper rider.

This is a snapper part and fit perfectly. The cross-section on this is called AA meaning that is "A" style belt in width but also has a beveled edge on the outer side. This allows it to run across a spring-loaded tensioner that is the same as 2 other pulleys. This spring I went to the local auto parts house and bought an "A" style belt and it self-destructed after about 10 hours' operation. Buy the real thing right here.

Perfect fit for my older Snapper rider replacing a shredded belt. Ready to cut grass again. Happy with purchase and Amazon.
