The Vampire Diaries: Season 6

It is an AWESOME show!However, I am not pleased in how the producer took Elena from Stephen and gave her over to Damon.That was wrong on ALL kinds of levels.Here is why.Stephen saved Elena when here from a terrible accident leaving her mother and father dead.Stephen was ALWAYS there for Elena.Stephen gave himself to Klaus to save Elena.Stephen, in spite of his blood lust, resisted attacking Elena when he was over the edge because of Klaus.What did Damon do?He killed Alaric...TWICE.He even killed Elena's brother never knowing that he was wearing the ring that would bring him back to life.So basically he just murdered Elena's brother without a second thought.Knowing that Stephen and Elena was together, he had absolutely NO restraint, and NO respect for his brother.He was ALWAYS pushing himself onto her.That wasn't right, and it looks bad on her and makes her look like a confused teenage slut, going back and forth between brothers.So why the producer allow Elena to be swooned by the Dark "Playah" is beyond comprehension.This sends out a very BAD message to women that it's alright to date psychotic guys regardless as to how they will ruin their lives and that it's okay to cheat, not to mention it makes men distrust women, especially young women such as Elena after she repeatedly assured Stephen that she loved him, would always love him and didn't have to worry about Damon. because she hated him so muchIf it wasn't by reason that Damon's blood sired Elena, he should not be with her.Her and Stephen make a better couple.Don't get me wrong!I love Damon's character and most of all his quarky humor and dialog; but he is just not suitable for ElenaI especially thought it was JACKED up how when Stephen died after having his heart ripped out in season 5 how Elena didn't shed a tear; but when Damon was left behind on the other side she broke down as though he was her first and only love.That was SO wrong and twisted.And how does she get her feelings back for Damon after she was COMPELLED to forget how much she loved him, only remembering the evil that he has done?All I have to say is PUT ELENA AN STEPHEN BACK TOGETHER!!!

A lot of ppl make fun of me because of how obsessed I am with this show!!! Every Thurs I am in front of my TV from 8-9pm, whether its a new episode or a repeat!!! During down time, when the show isn't on the air, I scour the internet for spoilers and watch all the seasons that I own....and the second a new season is available for purchase, I buy it!!! So I'm totally obsessed, but ppl who don't watch the show just think its another silly high school soap opera or a washed up version of Twilight.....but ppl who DO watch the show know its SO much more than that!!! So all I can say is: If you are on the fence and not sure if you should give this show a shot, DEFINITELY give it a shot!!! I guarantee you'll be sucked in after 1 episode. But you cannot start with season 6, or any other season except season 1!! Start from the beginning, this show is so fast paced that if you don't start from the very 1st episode, you'll be very confused!! I can't wait for season 6 to be available for purchase and for season 7 to start again!!! Its horrible having to wait 4 months to buy season 6 and 5 months for season 7 to start!!! Oh well, I guess I'll just pop in the first disc of season 1 and watch seasons 1-5 (and then watch season 6, which is recorded & saved on my DVR until its available for purchase) to tide me over....and I'll keep searching the internet for any & all spoilers on the upcoming season!!!

I was so angry at the author of The Vampire Diaries for not finishing her Night World Series (seriously she has yet to finish the last book and it was supposed to come out by 2000) that I wasn't willing to give the Vampire Diaries a chance. I thought at best it might be a BtVS ripoff and I'd be bored. I was so wrong, soooo very wrong, so wrong in fact that I binge watched all the seasons and then bought the Season 6 season pass on Amazon. It's witty and charming and gruesome, it has some unnecessary moments (really who needs to promote teenage promiscuity) but despite having some traits in common with BtVS, it's original and it's own little type of crazy characters and heartbreak. (people die more in this series than in a JK Rowling Book). This is a talented cast with characters who have the ability to make you love, hate, admire or despise them over and over and over.
