OtterBox Symmetry Clear Series Case for iPad 7th, 8th & 9th Gen (10.2" Display - 2019, 2020 & 2021 Version) - Clear, Ultra-Sleek Design

This otterbox case fits my 8th gen iPad perfectly and I really just love the luxe feel of this case. This is a true clear case (not frosted) and feels very sturdy. I purchased this to pair with the apple smart cover and it’s exactly what I wanted. The spine on the left side is removable to accommodate the smart cover or keyboard and comes with a sleeve for the apple pen. I don’t have the Apple pen and I may or may not purchase one in the future which brings me to the next thing I love about this case; the sleeve for the pen is removable, but also replaceable, so I was able to remove it but can keep it in the box with the spine in case I ever want to reinstall it. Keep in mind this is a slick/slippery case. Since I paired it with the Apple smart cover and always fold the cover around to the back while I’m holding it, it doesn’t bother me. I actually really love how smooth and sleek it feels, but it’s definitely something to consider if you’re not pairing it with a cover. Also if you haven’t figured it out by now, this product is just a back case, there is nothing for the front of the tablet. Overall I love the way it feels and I feel confident that my tablet will be protected if one of my kids knocks my ipad off the table or something.

Love these cases they have the removable spine so you can attach your keyboard.

Easy to get my iPad inside and it fits perfect, as you’d expect from otterBox. It has a removable panel on the edge that allows you to attach a keyboard without removing the Symmetry. It also has a cloth holder for the Apple pen, so you can be fully accessorized, if so desired, while being protected against knocks, scratches and drops.I do like this case and hope I never have to find out how well it protects my iPad. If you are looking for lightweight protection with a classy, unobtrusive feel and look, the otterBox Symmetry certainly deserves consideration.

My husband really wanted to have this case mainly because of two reasons-- the sheer back, and the fact that it doesn't have a foldable front cover for propping up. For him, he doesn't really use the iPad in a "laptop" like setting so this case really covered his needs. He hated having the front cover which was awkward to fold back when he just wanted to hold if like a book. This case will definitely hold up against any tumbles, but do purchase a glass protector!Apple pencil holder and removable side piece for attachment to Smart Keyboard is a plus!

This is a great case if you’re looking for something that would protect your iPad. It’s very sturdy. It has a place for Apple Pencil which is very convenient, not bulky. You can take off the part to use your iPad with Smart Keyboard. This is also so easy to remove and put it back. I didn’t have any problem with pushing the on/off button but you have to press hard for volume buttons - it still works though just you need to press hard. And it’s reasonable when you think the case protects your device very well. Overall, I like this case and think it is worth of the money. However, I returned the product because it adds weight on your iPad which is not good especially if you’re using it for reading. I like the lightness of the iPad. Another reason was that it came with scratches on the back which seemed to me used not new.

I love that this cover gives the option to use with a Smart Cover. My first one of these lasted a few years and it was time for another! Some notes about it: the clearness will yellow and darken over time, especially around the edges; the edges eventually become unglued from the back and begin to stick up (after a few years); the pencil holder on top works just fine and is unobtrusive when not being used. Still, this is the only back cover I could find that allowed for use with your own Smart Cover, so it is worth it!

The case is durable and looks great however I noticed it slightly doesn’t lay flat on the end where the charging port is, I am unsure if it is due to the glass screen protector I have on it. However I decided to keep it still due to the fact that I loved the way it looked.

The OtterBox clear case is very cool looking - and let’s our daughter enjoy the rose gold color of her iPad, yet still protects the iPad very well. Very impressed with all of OtterBox’s products. The price is always high, but still provides good value because of the high quality.
