Q: how tall can the halo extend to for a tall bed?

My bed is 29” off the ground and it is plenty tall for that

Q: Is there an organic or at least natural material mattress that would fit in this to replace the foam?

They sell a dreamweave breathable mattress for this bassinet (and larger one for cribs) made of food grade polymer mesh and is green guard certified non-toxic

Q: The piece that covers where you put the batteries in is missing. So they fall out. Where can I get another battery cover piece?

Well I would write to the manufacturer take pictures telling your story, but until then I'd tape them in there or wrap a strip of velcro around it just to hold them in place.
