Is this a staking punch not a center punch, need around 60 degree angle?

Checked with a square it is a 45 Deg angle

Dumb question, i guess, but what part is 1/4 inc and what part is 1/2 ??? i need a 1/2 shank and not a spindly/skinny 1/4 shank - so which is it???

The shank (painted blue) is 1/2" diameter and 4" long. The end point is 1/4" diameter cone that is 1.44" long. Total end-to-end length is 6". The striking head (painted blue) is 3/4" long with 0.7" diameter. My center punch is named "Vulcan" made in China.

Will this stake the edge of a shaft of a few tools (a screw jack and an adjustable wrench) to keep a piece from coming off the end? Mushroom it.

I don’t think this is the tool you need to do that, this will strike cold steel

Would this work on an AR15?

Yes just make sure you have it in the right place. It will make the mark right where you put it.
