The one I always wanted in the 80s then never got around to it.
This is a cool part of Casio's history. I wanted one as a kid but never had one, then later got a small collection of G-shocks, and multi-sensor Pro-Treks, always buying giant technical ones for their cool styling. I finally ordered this one as a fun every day watch and I love it. It's super light weight and slim, but the feel is still high in precision. It's got Casio's classic styling but understated with the reversed display and only has the calculator markings and no face markings and "WR." It may cost the same or even less than it did in the 80s, and the navy blue looks great. It's hard to go wrong for the price, and every function works perfectly with tiny but usable control buttons. The reversed display is difficult to see in low light but always seems visible when angled to the nearest light source. A back-light would be nice, but it's an excellent classic watch at an unbeatable price. Perfect!Edit: The description lists the band's width as 24mm, which is the overall width. The width at the Spring Bars if you are replacing the band is 20mm.

Love the retro looks and gets TONS of compliments and inquiries. The beige one can also be worn with greys. Only drawback of the color choice watches is that the negative display can be a challenge to see in certain light situations and no back light to assist.

No night light
The watch looks cool and retro but there’s no night light, it’s already hard to see with the background it has and the calculator buttons are very small. I would struggle to actually use it, especially since the background and font/number size is small and hard to see as well.

Looks great. But the price tag should be a warning not to expect too much.
It's a nice looking retro modern watch. I remember being a kid and thinking how cool a calculator watch would be. Smart watches of that era. I totally found this on accident while browsing for another watch and with it's affordable pricing, I thought it would be cool enough to buy with little risk. It definitely has the retro modern looks, classic Casio calculator with modern color way. Sitting on your wrist it is quite the little fashuonable time piece.Unfortunately both of those things also contribute to its weaknesses. The retro means it has a small digital screen, which would be ok except to modernize it they also made it a negative display. And not exactly a high quality negative display (which probably contributes to great pricing). This makes the screen a little harder to read at quick glance then I expected. I have other negative display digital watches and rarely struggle with them granted they usually have bigger displays, likewise I have smaller regular digital displays which are easy to read. Don't get me wrong you can read the time with even below average lighting but it's rarely a quick glance thing...it's a look at the time and sometimes get the right lighting angle. Which comes to the second negative I wasn't expecting which was no light? If you are updating this watch and willing to add that negative display, you can't add a light function? If this had Casio EL it would totally negate the negative display issue, if at the cost of battery life and a slightly higher price. But I think it would be worth it and make the watch much better and still an easy sales pitch. The rest of the watch is as expected, buttons are small just like the original but responsive. It does look cool.Bottom line if you're looking for a cool looking retro but modern wrist wear. It's totally worth the price. If you're looking for an easy and cheap time teller with some added nerdy functionality, Casio can still help you just not with this watch.
