OptomaUHZ65UST 4K UHD Laser Cinema Projector Black

I’ve had this projector for about a week. I moved house recently, and was initially looking at a TV upgrade. I already own a Samsung award winning 55 inch screen. I did my research on ‘Whathifi’ and ‘’Which’ and had my mind set on a £3k LG 65 inch screen. I then heard about this projector. I re-researched on the internet, and bought it. My opinion? It is simply sensational. It sits close to the wall on to which it projects - not from the other side of the room - a real plus! I’ve paired it with a 106 inch tab-tensioned screen. A note on this - don’t buy a cheaper screen that isn’t tab-tensioned; the picture warps a lot, particularly on menu screens. It’s simply not good enough for such a purchase. I had to replace my initial screen and paid £1k for a tab tensioned version. The difference is astonishing. The projector is easy to set up; it has excellent warp correction and adjustment software. The apps are poor apparently as they don’t project in 4K. Makes no difference to me, as I stream my content (Netflix/Prime/Disney+ etc) via Sky. The picture is bright enough to be still be great in daylight, but REALLY ‘pops’ at night. So, I’m ‘all in’ for about £4,300. Worthwhile if you can afford it? YES - FANTASTIC! (Photo is taken via my iPhone at night as we streamed ‘Hamilton’ on Disney+. The picture won’t do this amazing projector justice.

Bought a near £3,500 piece of projection equipment. Fine at first then faulty. Absolutely no interest expressed by the seller despite numerous attempts to call and emails (which were initially responded to).Wouldn't even rate it at one star but have to give a score before the submit button lights up.Now thinking of having to start legal proceedings.

For the price it is not worth it

I’ve bought this projector as a replacement for my 65” telly. I did had a terrible experience from the start… this brand is so difficult to align with the screen. I followed everything stated in the manual and yet still not achieved what they’ve advertised. As I got fed up setting up this projector, it left a terrible over scan all around the screen, which is really annoying when you’re watching a dark scene as the overscan is so visible. Just a little over a year, white spots begin to appear on the screen. And as you use it often the white spots started to spread. I tried to get in touch with the manufacturer and response took ages!!! Just to mention, this unit has a very poor operating system. No firmware updates at all.Be warned consumers! Don’t BUY this product as it’s the worst! Now I have a full regrets on buying this as spent thousands of pounds for a piece of JUNK!!! Avoid OPTOMA products!!!
