Fixed the washing machine!
I'm determined to keep this washing machine alive! I previously replaced the motherboard. This time it was just the locking mechanism. It was super easy to change out, just one bolt (+ the 2 holding the front panel down). LG WT1501CW top loading washing machine, purchased new in 2017.

Fixed the Problem
Easy to install and worked as it was a supposed to. It took 20 minutes to remove the old switch and install the new one. I saw this same switch selling for $100 more. there is not an upgrade for this part. The upgrade has a different connector and won't work. This one is a plug and play.

FIXED MY LG WASHER!!!!
For the last several months, this aging LG washer lid lock would click about 3-5 times each time I attempted to start a cycle. Finally, it completely stopped working and would not start the cycle. It only took a few minutes to replace the lid switch and now it locks and starts every time and costs less than $15.
