Product Description At "Prom", every couple has a story and no two are exactly alike. For Nova Prescott (Aimee Teegarden), it's a classic tale of opposites attracting when she finds herself drawn to the guy (Thomas McDonell) who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Share the laughter and the drama as secrets are brought to light, seemingly steady relationships unravel and new romance catches fire. Get ready for this hilariously heartfelt date with destiny featuring a hot ensemble cast of rising young stars and cool bonus features. There are hundreds of nights in high school, but there's only one Prom. .com Does anything pierce the hearts, hopes, and dreams of high schoolers like prom? It's not just a dance--it represents love, affirmation, a rite of passage, and the chance to get a really, really cute dress. And maybe the boy you've had a crush on since freshman year. Disney's Prom is a warm, affectionate look at a cast of characters (think High School Musical or Glee), about whom the audience slowly begins to care and root for. "Graduation is for the parents," one character solemnly pronounces, "but prom is really for us." The ensemble cast is believable and talented, and each young actor breaks out of his or her proscribed stereotype--the blond popular girl, Nova (Aimee Teegarden, also a standout in Scream 4), the broody dark-haired mystery guy, Jesse (Thomas McDonell--watch your back, Pattinson), and more. There are outcasts who earnestly believe in the magic of prom, and there are anointed ones who are jaded. But somehow they will all come together on this night to go through the wonderful, sometimes terrifying, sometimes shudderingly awful night known as prom. Standouts in the crowd include Mei (Yin Chang), who is obsessing over a secret, and Tyler (DeVaughn Nixon, incredibly handsome and confident on camera). Jared Kusnitz is Justin, a John Cusack-like Everykid who observes all the angst and anticipation leading up to the dance, and can't quite commit to whether he's part of the scene or not. Director Joe Nussbaum keeps all the intertwining stories moving along crisply, and guides his young actors with a light, engaging hand. Before you know it, it's prom night, and every viewer will have his or her heart on the line. Prom also features a great soundtrack, with fresh songs from the Weepies, the Shout Out Louds, and more. Dance on, kids. --A.T. Hurley

Prom - Blu-ray/DVD Combo Review
Prom is a wonderful Disney film. One of my favorites so far. With a great cast of newcomers such as Aimee Teegarden and Joe Adler. It focuses on several high school stories all connected to one special night, Prom. There is some flirting, kissing, a brief fight, but there is no foul language or graphic sexual content. The Blu-ray combo pack comes with loads of bonus features such as bloopers, deleted scenes, music videos, and much more. It also comes with a DVD copy of the film, with only Bloopers and A "Putting on Prom" BTS featurette. Other than that, the story has a great punchline and has positive messages about being yourself and the importance of honesty. I would highly recommend this to anyone who would love to see a great family film.

Cute!
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter after reading reviews online. I wasn't disappointed. It had a cute story, taught some little lessons, had some cute romances and kept my daughters and my attention. I was happy that except for a small fight that they used to teach a lesson it was very clean and safe for my daughter to watch. I was surprised that it kept my attention as well. Good for teens and pre-teens.

Disney's Best Non-Animated Film
Touching and surprisingly funny, uplifting, and accurate depiction of high-school for its time period.Without becoming obsessed with teen problems, the film manages to affirm the following profound themes:(1) Young love(2) The excitement, sense of opportunity, and uncertainty of growing up(3) Social inequality(3) Family-friend tension(4) Duty and responsibilityI had a blast watching with my family. I think this is a perfect film for young people and adults, separately or together.

Better then many of the reviews.
Okay, so many reviews are down on this movie...stating things like "how many cliches can Disney fit in one movie" and "Same old stories". For the record, I agree with these statments. BUT, I am a child of the 80's....remember Breakfast Club? Talk about cliches...a nerd, jock, princess, goth, pot head. I LOVED Breakfast Club at the time. I still enjoy it, but it doesn't speak to me like it did when I lived that part of a persons life (I was in highschool when Breakfast Club came out). I think the same can be said about Prom. My oldest daughter loves it...I can feel she relates to much of this like I did Breakfast Club. I liked the movie in that it was pretty G-rated stuff....no real heavy message about sex or drugs....just typcial teenage anxst and drama. This movie wont appeal to many people over 30, but it speaks right to the teens..and that is normal. I am neutral on Disney....neither a huge fan, nor do I hate them for producing market-specific movies. If you have early teen boys or girls I think they will like this movie. As a parent, I can watch it with my kids and not groan or be overly bored. It does highlight the energy of youth and the desire to fit in yet make a statement. Hopefully this review will help balance the previous reviews. I just don't think this is a horrrible, 2 star movie. If you can get this for under $10 including shipping I think you won't be dissappointed.

Sweet
It is a typical teen love movie...but it was good all in all. Its a great way to get your kids talking about dating and how people should be treated, to look past the outer cover because deep inside there is more than what can be seen on the outside

Love this movie!
This movie is adorable. Yes, it is a Disney film and yes, it has its cheesy times to it, but hey I am a huge fan of cheesy movies. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone who not only loves cheesy movies but also to anyone who loves Disney films.
