After looking at numerous reasonably priced blankets and throws and reading reviews I decided on this one primarily because more than one reviewer mentioned how heavy it was. They weren't wrong and I'm thrilled.I have a queen size bed but bought the king sized blanket. No more arguments over blanket "stealing". It touches the floor on both sides (almost).It went into the washing machine on a gentle cycle with minimal detergent and then into the drier. I expected tons of lint and the blanket delivered. My point being that cleaning out the lint trap three times during the drying process wasn't problematic. Just be around whilst you're drying and check the trap a few times. Do NOT pop the blanket in the dryer and then go out to the mall for a few hours. You may come home to a burned out shell where once your house stood.It's big, heavy, soft and warm. Not, as other people have mentioned, fluffy bunny fur soft. Just not in any way scratchy.This is all a matter of taste, isn't it? What I can say is that this is one of my more successful Amazon purchases and I'm very happy. So happy that having extolled the blanket's virtues I may just have a look and see if I might not get my hands on another one in a different colour.

This blanket is beautiful, heavy and held up after it's 1st wash. Seems like it is great quality and it's not made in china! It is made in India. It did smell a little funny before washing, but cleared up. It is a bit rough for my husbands preference but I love it! Breathes just enough that I don't sweat, though it's heavy enough for winter with a sheet underneath. I think it will be around for quite a while and I can get rid of the old polyester blanket that was full of static. The ice blue color is perfect for a calm, peaceful feel. Love my new, organic, king blanket :)

This looks like it will be a very sturdy blanket even though it's still somewhat lightweight. It's got a very tight weave which means it will be harder to snag. I would consider it more of a fall/winter weight blanket than a warm weather blanket. However, it is not very soft after washing. Also the color is much lighter than I thought it would be.

Is it comfy? 100%.Is this the softest blanket? No, but when I think of the softest materials I picture silk or broken-in cotton.Is it lightweight? No, but that's not what I wanted. I have a polyester throw that's crazy light, and while I like that one, I wanted something natural with more substance, and that's exactly what this blanket offers. I use it all the time. Did great in the wash (and in the dryer, on low) too.Definitely two thumbs up.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT! Cotton feel, no static, it keeps me amazingly warm&cozy but at the same time cool, I can't even describe how great it is. Gentle lavender color. Feels somewhat ruff, like a waffle towel, but is very cozy and comfortable, light. No irritation on my sensitive skin at all. Does not loose color&shape after multiple washing, I had it for over a year, and couldn't be happier about it. Ordering different color for my mom.

This is an ok blanket. It is by NO means SOFT. Feels like canvas material. Very heavy, I suppose it will be good in winter, but it says right on the plastic case it is soft….NOT! Even after washingAcceptable, barely

This blanket is absolutely awful. Aside from the scratchy material and color, the sizing is off. I bought the king size for my king bed and as you can see, it falls about a foot too short in length and a few inches on each side. I tried it every which way and it either didn't fall on the side AT ALL, or it was way too short. I like to tuck my blankets into the side under the matress and I had about 1/2 inch of fabric to do so, whereas my other kind sized blankets I have no issues. The color is also totally off. I ordered a gray but it looks more like a tan/cream color (I would name this colordirty dishwater white). It doesn't even look like its in the gray family when you put it next to other shades of gray. I plan to let my kids use it since they have full size beds and it will actually fit their matress. Plus it already looks dingy so no stress over them getting it dirty! Overall super disappointing. Keep your money!

I've had this about 6 months now. It's holding up great. No horrible pilling or falling apart.It's not as light as a feather. There's some weight to it, not a ton but it's there. Personally I really like it. It's also pretty breathable. I sleep with a fan in the room and the fan cuts through pretty easy. So I only use this if I'm not looking to be toasty but just want a blanket on me.Might buy some more in other colors as I like the size, weight and durability. Also love that It's organic and affordable. It's quick to wash and dry unlike huge blankets. I bought the light blue one for a queen size bed.
