Got this to use in the office for an event with children and adults. It was great. The kids were entertained and we didn't have to worry about them breaking anything if a croquet ball went sailing. It may seem a little pricey but it is worth it. The set is solidly put together and will last a long time.

Great idea for Special needs kids - parts broke after 1 use

We purchased this set for our special needs daughter. It's good for indoor and outdoor use. We put number labels on the wickets to help her remember the order of play. It would be nice if the wickets had a bit more weight, but they stand up fine on carpet or in grass, and our daughter can manage them easily.

After four months of using these, the conclusion is that they're a big waste of money. The concept is sound, but every piece is simply too lightweight to stand up, hold up, and work. Croquet requires a bit of umph and staying power in its various actions and items, from wickets to balls to mallets, and everything here is simply too physically light to work well or repeatedly. And this set comes at quite a premium. I would not buy again nor recommend.

I loved playing croquet when I was a kid so I got this set to introduce my kids to the game. At age 7, they are a little young to always complete a full game playing by the rules, but we’ve had fun. I like the fact that these are soft and safe for young players. Another reason I got this is to prepare them for mini-golf, which like to play with them soon. But in our neighborhood mini golf is expensive so without this kind of practice, it would be an expensive introductory game or two. Works well in a carpeted room. Not sure if they’d be sturdy enough for play on grass (unless it’s very was very flat and well manicured). The fact that they are a little pricey knocks these down 1 star….

I was happy with my purchase until my granddaughter went to set up the game. The lack of weight on the foam ends of each hoop was a problem. They were too flimsy . They need weight on bottom of each foam end to make the hoop to stand better.
