Lifesaver!!!
We had a flea infestation after adopting a dog, and purchased this stuff particularly for our basement, where they were the worst.Prior to this, and during, we had the dog on bravecto, frontline, and so so many baths for her to relieve her itching and flea dermatitis. Spent probably $200-300 on vet trips because I didn't want her to have fleas, and everything I tried just wasn't working. I remember she would roll on her belly, while on bravecto and frontline both, I'd see the fleas zig zagging around on her tummy, and I'd quick spray them with the $25 bottle of flea spray, and they STILL wouldn't DIE. It was vile. I kept going back to researching forums and I really didn't want to put any more chemicals on her, or have her injest them/affect her skin, I didn't want to put a flea collar around her neck, it was really a helpless situation for a couple weeks, and she was so miserable. And we tried SO HARD to break the flea life cycle.... For the house, we cleaned and vacummed every DAY. Every day. Washed curtains, walls, everything. We only have carpeting in 2 rooms, and the other 2 entire floors are hardwood/tile. It took about 2-3 weeks before I found this stuff...I used any kind of spray I could find (and I hate using chemicals...whole foods/natural living is personally my jam, but during this hell, it was nuclear war on our house.) I even bought a $49.99 spray from menards that "guaranteed" bed bug and flea removal that a landlord friend reccommended. They wanted a tax ID to purchase even. Sprayed it, ceiling to floors. No dice. We had the WORST time getting rid of them. If it helps anyone else, we live in Nebraska and she was brought up from a rescue in Texas. Our vet said she thought that it was some weird breed of awful flea, but I think she was just trying to be nice and calm me down. Buying this was my last straw before throwing my bank account at an exterminator. Or lighting a match. This stuff worked after one application.I'll probably grow an arm out of my forehead soon from all the monsanto and weird killer chemicals I tried, but this stuff worked, and was relatively harmless to apply according to the package. We now use this regularly as a preventative measure after going through that. No more crickets/spiders in the basement is a plus. The area we use this in regularly is just a storage/laundry, however, when the fleas were bad, we put it on sofas, rugs, windowsills, doorways, outside on the deck, anywhere and everywhere and had no adverse reactions. The package states that this is safe to use around kids/pets/in their kennels and beds even and all over. It inhibits growth; prevents the eggs they lay from hatching; and I actually went back to the shelter where we adopted her from for a visit day and they use IG regulator in their kennels regularly. A+ Product. If you have a flea problem, buy it. This should be on the shelves at the store, not hartz flea collars.

The final tool in flea arsenal
After letting diatomaceous earth sit on every carpeted/upholstered surface in my home for 2 weeks, vacuuming 2-3 times/week for a month, medicating my pets for fleas and doing laundry multiple times, this final step seems to have ended my home’s flea scourge. It won’t kill live fleas; it “freezes” every stage of development from the egg just up to the actual jumping-around fleas. The active ingredient lingers, too. Once the spray has dried, your pets are safe around all surfaces. Working great for me! Only complaint is that one ampule makes a gallon which was waaay more than I needed, and degrades in less than 24 hours. So, there is a TON of waste = overpriced!!!!

It is pyriproxyfen (Nylar)
This product has greater lasting power in your yard than methoprene (Precor). It says 21 days in the booklet (available online) and 14 days on the package label. Compare that to 2 days for methoprene.Being an insect hormone, it has no effect on mammals. It smells like hydrocarbons, though. That is probably a solvent that isn't good for you. It could burn your eyes if sprayed directly into them.I had a big flea problem due to a large feral cat colony in the yard. I used a Gilmour sprayer attached to a garden hose. (Highly recommended) I mixed the Martin's IGR with imidacloprid and sprayed. I came back a week later after it rained and there was not much effect on the fleas. A lot of them were jumping on my white socks. I stopped using Advantage on my cats a long time ago due to the fleas' resistance to imidacloprid. Imidicloprid has little toxicity to mammals and is not carcinogenic, so that is why I used it first. This spraying killed all the ants.I sprayed with carbaryl (Sevin) next. More toxic, somewhat carcinogenic. I haven't seen a flea since.I am alternating between this product and the Sevin. No more mixing. The problem with this product is that you cannot see it work. I am spraying Martin's IGR at 3 week intervals. I spray the Sevin when the ants show up. This is usually 7 days.Keep in mind that this is the middle of August. A veterinarian and a professional exterminator told me that I was wasting my time trying to control fleas in August with all of the wild animals running around.I proved them wrong. I've got no fleas jumping on me.I don't think that the light sensitivity warning applies to the concentrated product in the bottle. If that was true they would sell it in an opaque bottle. This bubble pack is designed to hang from a rail in a hardware store for who knows how long. The light sensitivity applies to the diluted product after it is sprayed. They are talking about sunlight. I have been using the 21 day interval in soil with good results.Although ants are listed as a target organism, I have not noticed any effect on ants. This is what I expected since the immature ants never leave the nest where the spray will get on them.

Finally stopped the infestation
I had never had fleas in my house but eventually it happens to everyone. I had a great insecticide to kill the adults but had to spray often. I added this to the insecticide and the infestation is finally gone.

Second time buying product
Worked very well last summer but not so good this flea season. All pets have been treated with flea drops and sprayed 4 times already this summer. Still lots of fleas.
