These puzzles are made of wood and hold up to being tossed around. They are meant for two to three yr. olds, but I use them with my severely autistic son, and although some pieces are hard to fit, even for me,they are a great source of entertainment and a way to learn vocabulary.

My 2 year old granddaughter loves these puzzles! She's learning new words and improving her fine motor dexterity.

This is a wonderful set of photo-realistic wooden puzzles that are a nice challenge for a toddler who has been using peg puzzles. The quality is really nice, everything is sanded well and smooth. The only issue I had was very minor, which is that one of the pieces in one of the puzzles (it was the pig) fit in just too tightly so it was difficult to remove and get back in. Just a second of sanding fixed it right up. The criticisms in prior reviews are about the smell and the image quality-in regards to the smell, there is a stronger smell but it is not chemical, it is from the wood-burning of the puzzle pieces. The smell greatly dissipates after taking it out of the package in a few days. The image quality is slightly fuzzy, which is really the nature I think of it being printed directly on wood. However, I don't think it takes away from the use or quality of the puzzles. I think overall the price-point is great for really nicely made wooden puzzles.

No regrets on buying them. The wood is on the thinner side but they’re still sturdy for my rough toddler. The realistic pictures are perfect! I hope they makes more puzzles like these (other than the ones they currently have)

Ordered these for my classroom science center. They are great. Has different items with names under each. There are finger holes for each piece which gives them more of a challenge since the shape is not the same.

I purchased this for my nephew who is about 2 1/2 years old. He absolutely LOVED them! He had so much fun putting it together over and over again. I put one back for his mom to give him another day because he was so enthralled with the first one! He loved naming the animals and matching up the parents with the babies! A really great purchase--I would highly recommend!
