Black Jewel Orchid (Ludisia discolor): A Stunning Orchid with Velvety Dark Leaves and Intricate Veining 4 inch Pot from California Tropicals

I purchased this plant a year ago and had it shipped to Montana of all places. First it arrived in perfect condition. They took great care when packaging it. Second, it bloomed 8 months after I purchased it. I’ve had this plant before and it took a few years before it bloomed. The plant I received from this company was just awesome.

The plant arrived sooner than expected. It was nicely packed and suffered no visible damage or stress in transit. Though it’s a bit smaller than what I had expected, I am happy that it’s a healthy plant and will grow nicely in a shallow wider pot (in picture) with ample drainage and a soil coarse bark mix.I highly recommend this seller!

Jewel Orchid. I got the product in good time. Everything was good except the leaves were all stained and I cannot clean them. The plant seems healthy otherwise.

My plants arrived in perfect condition. They were very well packaged. I was worried about ordering plants via Amazon but I’m very happy. The plants are beautiful!

Unless you live in CA do not buy. Plant was at the shippers for almost a week until it started its treck to VA. It came dry. No instructions and since it’s been here have lost two leaves and the one that was growing never completed its growth. Grower was not cooperative in giving out information.

This was packaged up like Fort Knox and arrived in mint condition! Soil was nice and moist.Very happy with purchase.

Update: the seller was very responsive and replaced my sickly plant. The pure overall size of the replacement is good. There is a chunk missing out of the stem but it seems to still supports the plant. Packaging was very well done and arrived quickly.Original:On inspection the plant looked good even though it was fairly small. The root structure was weak and it died within 3 days due to a fungal infection. Very sad.
