Works really well and does a great job in my bathroom that doesnt have an exhaust fan.

I moved to an area with pretty humid summers. As the weather became warmer, my room developed a really bizarre smell. I tried everything-fancy air fresheners, different laundry detergents to clean bedsheets and laundry, air purifiers, and thorough cleanings just to name a few. I even hired a cleaner to see if they could get to the root of the problem. Eventually I found odor absorbers that worked but it seemed like a bandaid on the problem because as soon as they ran out, the odor would pop back up. I had a hunch that humidity and the warm weather had something to do with the smell but was unsure. This summer, I decided to invest in a humidifier as my research confirmed that sometimes the smells are from humidity. I came across this one as it was a little more within my budget. I was a little hesitant because of its size and many reviewers saying they had theirs in small spaces such as closets and bathrooms. My bedroom is decent sized so I was unsure if it would work. After running it for about 24 hours, I noticed the smell surely fade. After a few days, the smell had miraculously disappeared. I uploaded a picture of the dehumidifier with all the water it had accumulated after just a few days of running it. Other great things about this dehumidifier is that it is fairly small so can be placed anywhere and it runs pretty quiet (best comparison would be a fan on low speed). There is a small green light on top of the dehumidifier that can be distracting for those who prefer complete dark in their rooms but can also serve as a small night light.

This was a great dehumidifier that was GOOD when it was working… It did its job and was able to remove humidity and moisture as I had to empty out the water once a week. It has a safety shut off mechanism where the magnetic detector knows when the moisture tank is full and it shuts off and blinks until the user removes the excess water. It has a great service life for the purchase price, and recently became inoperable (NOT WORKING) after three years. Wish there was a way to repair unit after three years as recently, the unit does not turn on due to the fact that the magnetic mechanism has deteriorated with wear and tear with RUST, so that it does not enable to Unit to power on to dehumidify as usual. Hopefully the manufacturer reads this and improves the product inexpensively protect the magnetic mechanism to ensure longevity for the unit to operate… Otherwise, this was a great purchase, but I regret that it has became inoperable, and the longer works after three years… Seavon, please take note of feedback to improve the product for longevity in ownership for the end users. Three years of operability was decent but you guys can do better. Please let the engineers at the factory know. Thank! Seavon #3

Updated review, Feb 2025: I ran this 24-hours per day (constantly) in a large walk-in closet, and it did a decently good job of pulling the moisture out of the air. It was practically silent and did what it was supposed to do for about 3 months, and then out of no-where it unexpectedly started making a constant, loud, clanking noise. It was like a part inside wore out or something. It also stopped working at that point -- meaning it continued to make the loud clanking noise, but it stopped dehumidifying. So, it was completely useless. I attempted to try and take it apart to see if it was something I could fix, but it doesn't come apart. So, I had to just throw it away since it died. It was cheaply built and didn't last long, so don't waste your money.October 2024 review right after I received it: As expected, this is a very small dehumidifier, which is what I wanted. I only needed it for my 120 sq. ft. bedroom. It's been running for 48 hours straight (2 days), and there's just shy of 1 cup of water in the reservoir. That means it's pulling about 1/2 cup of water per day. It's definitely better than nothing, and I got it on a Prime sale so it was very inexpensive, so I'll keep it, but it's not going to make much of a dent in the humidity and this rate. I can imagine if you used this in a VERY small space (like a tiny bathroom or a closet) that it might be okay, but it's just not big enough to do much in a bedroom. A plus is that it's practically silent -- very quiet!

Worked great for 1.5 years; very quiet. But then it died & won’t turn on anymore. I tried cleaning the filter, tried other plugs—nothing worked.

I was looking for ways to make my room cooler this summer without needing to turn on the AC. A friend recommended to try out a dehumidifier to make the air less "thick" during humid days. This dehumidifier is inexpensive and just good enough for my room.The product looks nice and clean, it doesn't feel cheap at all. The body is easy to wipe clean, so that's a big plus. I've been using this for more than a week now, and I can say it did helped my room air feel more comfortable. During the nights when I leave this on, it can collect a substantial amount of water in 8 hours. This product has an auto shutdown when water tank is full, but since it is not really very humid here in my place, it could barely reach one third of the tank on an entire day or night of use. When using this humidifier, I can easily tell it is working great by entering or leaving my room. I can tell the huge difference of air quality between inside and outside of my room.This is the first time I ever used a dehumidifier and I am very happy I did try it. It made a big difference in comfort inside my room. I will definitely buy another one for the other rooms.
