12FT Shark Industrial Premium PEX Tubing Ice Maker Water Connector with 1/4" Comp by 1/4" Comp Fitting

I used this to connect the Culligan IC filter to my son's refrigerator. The water and ice had a bad taste even with the refrigerator filter. This replaced a braided water line. Cut the pex line and inserted each end into the filter.Each connection with a brass fitting has a molded end to the pex line that connects to the refrigerator and water supply. No leaks so far after a week.The water quality improved significantly with no aftertaste which is likely due to the filter more than the line.

I have tried copper. I have tried black/brown/clear plastic, they all leak sooner or later, the copper, no matter how well you blow it out, water will frezze and split it. This works great, it holds up well in the weather and will not crack/split. This is the only way to go unless you like replacing it every year.

it may be a disaster waiting to happened. I don't trust it. I installed it but i will change it with another one.
