Do all drawers and compartments lock?

There are two locking mechanisms on this desk. One is on the tambour (the part of the desk that rolls down) On the right side when it is down there is a key lock. One is on the bottom file drawer on the drawer pedestal. Two sets of keys are included for a total of 4 keys that work in both locks. ( just in case you misplace one!) Look for the video at the bottom of the product page for lots of great views of this desk including the locking mechanisms.

What are the measurements for the top flat surface? Need to know to see if our printer could set up there.

The top writing surface is 40"W x 21"D x 12"H. This desk also has a shelf in the kneehole area that is perfect for many sized printers. Depending on where you look the website has the height of the desk at 45-49 inches. Which of those is accurate? Also, how tall is the chair opening?

The correct height of this desk is 45" - we have repeatedly tried to correct the 49" error, but Amazon has not allowed that change for some reason.

Quality Piece of Furniture

I was pleased to find that this is a quality piece of furniture that was actually quite easy to put together. One of the other reviewer’s indicated that the top was held on with only six small screws, there are six screws on the outer edges, but there are additional four screws on the inner part of the desk. I would definitely recommend this desk for anyone looking for a small roll-top desk.

Lovely piece of furniture

First of all the positives:Well constructed, solid, lovely piece of furniture. It really is well done and the perfect size for my small corner. Nice nooks and crannies for all the things I wanted to store in there. My husband was able to assemble it without much issue. I have assembled things before, but this one I think I would have found more challenging. So harder than some, but doable.Negatives: The color is called "Harvest Stain". Think more "Golden Oak". I was quite surprised at the color. Not what I expected or what the picture on my computer shows. ( I know, I know, those aren't always accurate, but this was really quite different) So I must say, that disappointed me simply because it was a color I would not have chosen. If you like that color, then you are good to go.

I only ordered one

I love this roll top desk.. it is lovely and is in use. I keep getting updates saying that it is on the way!! I contacted the company and was reassured that I was only receiving the one.. However, I got another message today about it being delivered soon 🙄!

This is a very solid piece of furniture.

I am so in love with this desk. The instructions were easy to understand. I put it together by myself except lifting the top onto the base. Cubbies and drawers are what I wanted. It is a solid piece of furniture.

If I can put it together, anyone can

Nice, my wife loves it and that’s all that really matters. I can’t remember what the directions said but you need a good Philips screw driver and a small one. Bring a novice in the knowledge of wood, all the screws screw in by applying a little pressure. The picture of the placement of the screws is hard to see that 4 go in underneath by pulling the drawer out. And to tighten the back bolts after installing the drawer
