Great cold tap
Great Cold tap, already got the boiling kettle tap and wanted the cold filtered tap as well. Really good

Good fizzy water, bad app.
Provides really nice tasting water. Used the supplied S style filter.Water that is dispensed is pretty cool in temperature.A little intermittent fan noise in operation.Gets through some sodastream canisters. However, we keep three on the go and refill these with a 6kg cylinder.App doesn't register the device to my wifi, but it doesn't affect its main function. I have tried connecting to different wifi networks without success. I work in IT and have many IoT devices, so I have some skill but eventually give up.I installed this myself but needed euro tap connectors for my existing isolators for hot and cold water. You may need euro to uk converters.

A good solution for sparkling water lovers, but it’s high maintenance!
The media could not be loaded. Okay, this is a long one, but if you’re swinging whether you need this - then try to bear with me.Having moved to a new house we decided, as zealot sparkling water drinkers, that this is the right device for us. I mean Quooker costs at least twice and we decided that for our daily cuppa we can still use a kettle - hence suffice with Grohe chilled plus sparkling tap. Fair ?The road wasn’t smooth sailing. It’s very important to supervise the plumber, in our case the fact that they didn’t drill a hole in the cabinet which allows the hot air to vent got the water constantly lukewarm and the machine constantly overheated. The customer services takes ages to reply and then uses an outsourced engineering company whose availability is not that great. So while we did get an engineer who was very accommodating and explained the issues, it took at least three weeks to get him to check.Once installed correctly the water comes out very chilled (and filtered of course), which means we don’t need anymore plastic bottles and the kids help themselves quite often. The sparkling, which was disappointing when the machine was overheating, is now good - especially after the engineer adjusted the settings for the English hard waters. How does it work:The tap acts as a regular Grohe tap, ours is with an extended spout. The same tap will let out water on three modes: water (blue light) ; sparkling (green light) ; lightly sparkling (light blue light). Now the slightly sparkling (you need to press one mode and then the other) is redundant IMO as the sparkling itself is good but not the strongest carbonated water to begin with. We hardly use the semi mode.Aside from the hard installation there are a few other cons: it takes a lot of space and need space of 3.5cm from each side, so prepare to give up a lot of under basin space. The instructions are awful - a modern day Egyptian Hieroglyphics- why couldn’t they just use English? The cost of 4 carbonating tanks is £89 and you will need a new one monthly. Having said that Grohe offers a refill service for £40, but the filter doesn’t come cheap to, roughly £60, and will need replacing every 3/6 months depending on usage. Finally maintenance is a bit tricky , see my picture to see the filters. Luckily this is an annual ordeal. The pros is ofcourse the overall savings, for me is roughly £10-15 per week on water bottles and the ease of having filtered water / soda on tap (literally).I believe that future version will prove better but I’m advising again that Grohe customer services in the UK is not great - so patience would be needed to.
