Perfect for cake baking
Item arrived in a plastic bag, I was expecting it to be in a container (for some reason) but it arrived intact. I used it today to bake my first cake using powdered egg . I had bought this specifically for this purpose as I was finding it increasingly difficult to obtain fresh eggs during this period of panic buying and hoarding by some selfish people. I premixed the powdered egg with my flour and added the appropriate amount of water specified by the instructions that came with the product. I have to say my cake came out perfectly and tasted just like it always does. I am really happy with this product and would definitely buy it again . I haven’t yet tried it for making omelettes or scrambled eggs so can’t comment on its performance in that department.

Great product
1 Tablespoon egg powder + 2 Tablespoons water for a medium egg2 Tablespoons egg powder + 1/4 Cup water for an extra large egg (Remember that there are 16 Tablespoons in 1 Cup to make multiple egg conversion easier)When baking you do not need to re-hydrate the eggs before adding to your mix, simply add the needed egg powder and needed water to your mix and proceed as your recipe outlines. If you need to half a recipe, you can half an egg with the powdered mix.

Relatively expensive, but enormously useful
Used for scrambled egg or an omelette, I find this has a slightly funky flavour; however, it is brilliant for baking and other recipes. It's especially useful for recipes where you need to keep the fluid level to a minimum, such as making Latkas -- instead of going to the trouble of squeezing the grated potato in a cloth: just add this egg and then and any necessary water to get the fluid balance right.

Better than I expected
The bag was slightly biggest than the storage jar I had available so I tried the extra to make scrambled egg .. I used 24g of powder.. a teaspoon of milk substitute and just over 72g water and a pinch of salt and pepper. I cooked it up in microwave .. in short bursts and added a tiny knob of butter. It was perfectly palatable. I haven't used yet in baking, but I have no reason to think it won't work. This will make perfect emergency rations for my son who will be heading off to uni later in the summer

Suprisingly Good
The eggs arrived this morning so I thought I would knock up some scrambled eggs just to see how bad this was. The finished product was great! I got everyone in the house to try and all were of the opinion that it was 'as normal'.I bought it because of Covid 19 lockdown but going forward I'm certainly having this in my campervan.

Limited Shelf Life
This product is labelled "Freeze Dried " and I was therefore expecting a shelf life of 25years. Unfortunately it only has a shelf life of less than 3years. If this is important to you then you need to look elsewhere.
