Perfect for one pot cooking
I bought this to replace an older traditional slow cooker. Specifically, I wanted one I could brown meat in so that I didn't have to dirty a separate pan (and my stovetop) and then transfer to the crockpot. This slow cooker meets that requirement and much more. Not only can I brown meat, I can saute onions and other veggies, and I can raise the heat at the end of cooking time to add thickeners to stews and sauces. It truly is one pot cooking. On slow cooker low and high, I can set a timer and when time is up, it automatically switches to warm. This cooker has other functions I haven't used yet for steaming and roasting, and it cooks rice. It also has a delayed start timer. It's larger than a regular crockpot, but it's not overly heavy because the cooking container is light-weight metal with a non-stick coating, making it super easy to clean. It comes with clear, printed instructions, which are a must-read to understand how to use the timer for different functions. This small appliance is going to stay out on my counter because I'm going to get a lot of use out of it. It's exactly what I wanted!

Hamilton Beach 9-in-1 Slow Cooker
The media could not be loaded. I recently decided to UPGRADE a few of our kitchen appliances and a NEW "slow cooker" was on the list. I owned a slow cooker from another brand for MANY years and it worked VERY WELL. However, I never cared for its "oval" shape OR how HEAVY the ceramic pot was. I shopped around online looking for a BETTER option to replace it and I came across this Hamilton Beach 9-in 1 Slow Cooker on Amazon.I absolutely LOVE stainless steel and black kitchen appliances. Everything except our refrigerator, stove and dishwasher are stainless steel and black, which of course I plan to UPGRADE those in the future as well. This slow cooker is "rectangular" in shape, which is EXACTLY what I wanted. It also has a much LIGHTER "non-stick" pot that is dishwasher safe. The lid, and roasting/steaming rack are also dishwasher safe.I have made chili and spaghetti in it so far. BOTH cooked just as I wanted and expected. I do cook my meat and noodles separate while my sauce slow cooks in this...However, the meat CAN be browned right in the slow cooker as well. When the timer ends, it automatically sets to warm mode. I will be making HEARTY homemade chicken noodle soup in it VERY soon.I think EVERY household should own a slow cooker. It's one of the most versatile and handy kitchen appliances that cleans up SUPER easy. Being a MULTI-TASKER, I love it when I don't have to stand over the stove/oven to cook meals. I can basically set it and forget it and it keeps dinner WARM until ready to eat.I haven't found anything that I "dislike" about it so far. Therefore, I would HIGHLY recommend this Hamilton Beach 9-in-1 Slow Cooker if you're in the market for one. A variety of meals can be created with just this ONE appliance. As always, be sure to check dimensions to ensure it will fit your space. Thanks again, Amazon for another QUALITY kitchen appliance.

Nice slow cooker
Love this slow cooker! I especially like the ability to brown meat in the same pot. It’s easy to use for tri tip roast, meat loaf, ham, pork chops, and soups, and it’s not too heavy.

I love it
I love this crock pot. Just what I been looking for. I can sear my meat inside it and then add the rest of the ingredients and cook. Very easy to clean and VERY light weight considering the heavy liners of other crock pots. It is a great value, I just love it and it works so well that it is my go to crock pot now.

I think I'm going to love it, but it's tricksy
I have a tiny apartment with a pitiful kitchen, so wanted an oven equivalent with more control than a toaster oven, big pot capabilities, and a bit more than a crock pot. This seems to have that. Figuring out how to use it is going to be a challenge. This is the size of an oval 6 qt. Crockpot or roaster. Nice and compact. There is a removable nonstick liner. Just regular old nonstick, not the latest and greatest--you can order new ones from HB, but they are on backorder now. On the bottom is a solid round hotplate, which probably works to the brown and maybe the roast function. And the heat around the sides, slow cooker style. The problem is figuring out which function to use. Wanted to make chicken noodle soup, but not take hours doing it. So I did slow cooker high, which did the chicken and veg in about the same amount of time as usual. But noodles? There's no "just boil it" heat, so I kept it on high (never had a rolling boil) and dumped in the noodles, which do eventually cook in a slow cooker. Figured half an hour for 12-15 minute noodles. Heaven help us, they were cooked to mush! Next time, cook first, set aside, add back in! I do think it will be worth the experimenting, with the brown function and all, but, if you're not a cook who likes to fiddle, it will make you crazy. Next experiment is to try to manage a frozen pie without a top or bottom burned crust 🤭

Easy clean up!
Works great! Easy to use and you can fit more pieces of meat on the bottom over the other traditional heavier oval crockpots. And clean up is a breeze because of it being light weight and the material that the insert is made out of.

The Best
A highly versatile appliance that has the volume we needed and some additional features we hadn’t imagined that would be useful. It’s the easiest to clean slow cooker type device I have ever used.My only complaint is I have some difficulty reading the controls, but then my vision isn’t what it once was. Don’t let that deter you.Cooking temps and times are accurate and dependable.I personally like the rectangular shape and exterior cleans up nicely too.

Perfect product
Good size. Whole chicken fits well. Rack great for roasting a whole chicken. I love the searing and sauté feature for roasts etc. I made chicken breasts with rice all in one pot. I seared the chicken, added rice and sautéd it, added liquid and turned setting to rice option and got a perfect meal with easy cleanup
