Yes they are very fragile. I took my daughter to a toy store recently and she grabbed a nee doh and started squeezing it. The plug where it is filled popped out. Her friend had another one and the same thing happened. I had to drag them out of the store because the "game" was to pop them all at that point. The store employees were not imporessed.
