Challenging, though fun and rewarding
It was somewhat of a challenge to put together but it went very well overall and I'm satisfied with the end result. It took me about a straight 5 hours to complete. I recommend getting the thinnest pliers you can to help with the shaping of the parts and clippers would've made it easier to remove the parts from the sheet. I also recommend getting (as others have suggested) a glue stick or lipstick case to help curl around some of the parts. It's possible, though difficult, to get the roundness right without one.The only issue I had with the build was that the upper antenna was flimsy and snapped off while I was trying to do the final assembly. However, it's quite minor and I'll just glue it on some time later.Overall I'm very satisfied with the product. It looks nice and the detail is very good. I plan to get another one of these models in the future to make.

It’s Fun And The End Redult
I’ve seen these models around for years and even though they looked cool I wasn't sure I could make it look as good as in the photos. I was wrong. I could do it and it looks great and was not difficult. My only complaint was that the instructions are “novel” with symbols they’ve clearly designed in-house even though there are any number of standards with symbols you already know if you work with your hands.I will say that some degree of mechanical altitude is required, but not much. The kits are inexpensive so if you don’t like it you haven’t lost much so I highly recommend trying it!

This fun challenge may not be for beginners!
Difficulty Rating: 8/10Tools Recommended: Clippers, Flat Nose Pliers, Needle Nose Pliers, TweezersI've done a handful of these models and this was by far the most difficult. It took me a few hours of off and on again working to get it just right. This model has several pieces, many of which are small and flimsy. With that in mind, be sure to proceed putting this one together with caution. It is very easy to break pieces or bend them too far. While you might need a significant amount of patience to complete this model, it'll make an excellent addition to your collection!I rated this product 4 out of 5 stars because it may not be as fun as it looks to put together and it requires a steady, patient hand to complete. Additionally, you'll need to make sure you don't bend the middle tube pieces or the telescope won't be round when you finish! At the very top of this review I mention some recommended tools. You likely won't get very far without any. You'll need clippers or a sharp knife (think X-Acto) to separate the pieces from the metal sheets they come bound to. Afterwards you'll need tweezers or pliers to bend the metal tabs into place properly. Fascinations has a kit for sale that includes a few essential tools, but most people will have the ones they need around the house.Overall, this one is a great addition to any collection, but might not be the best for beginners or children. It may be a challenge, but it yields a neat result.

Great details and easy for beginners
A great Metal Earth model for beginners. The details are amazing and it was pretty easy to assemble with only nippers to cut out the pieces cleanly and needle nose pliers.Hint: when working with the tiny pieces, have something under your hands to catch them if they fall or be prepared for a long search (a shallow tupperware or baking sheet works great).

Definitely not for beginners.
This kit does require some skill I would have to say. All together not a bad kit... if it's your first one, there will be a definite learning curve. At first I felt like I would rather have a burlap sack with a honey badger in it, then put it on my head and wrestle around with that for a while; that was was first option... then I said okay, what the heck, just went ahead and built it. Be patient!

I am surprised at all of the bad or semi satisfied reviews on this thing
I am surprised at all of the bad or semi satisfied reviews on this thing. I am blown away. What a beautiful detailed neat model of the Hubble. You should expect if you order something like this that there will be some challenge in putting it together. The quality of the product is excellent. Laser cut to precision, parts easy to identify and remove. The difficult part is having to shape the parts yourself. They are small, require care, and the proper tools. Get a good set of magnifying glasses, a very small needle nose pliers, small metal clippers, and a small knife. From there it is not that difficult. It took me about two hours to put it together. The final product is really awesome. Love it.

This is a piece of junk -- impossible to put together
This is impossible to put together (and I mean impossible). It is a piece of metal and the ends do not bend easily. I have put together hundreds of models and other things in my life and I can say that without a doubt this is the worst model I have ever seen or tried to put together. When I wanted to return this piece of junk, I was told by Amazon that it could not be returned. Be warned and stay away! Impossible to make!

Very nice model
This model comes on a single sheet of metal, but it's a bit more challenging than you would think. It has a lot of fragile parts, and you have to bend some parts into nearly perfect cylinders. You'll need some pliers, and the narrowest part of the model is about the size of a tube of lip balm so it's a good idea to have one of those to shape it with. A pair of nippers will also be helpful to get the sprue away from tiny parts you're trying to remove. If you're careful and don't rush you'll end up with a nicely detailed model.
