I had a pretty severe infected toenail and decided to try this, even though it isn’t recommended for these cases. Six months in and the nail looks a lot better, following weekly treatment. I think it might take another six months to clear it, but so far, very good.One thing. You need to really file the nail properly, using the boards provided. I keep going until the board is clear both sides, concentrating on the infected areas. This seems to allow the liquid to do its best work.

If you live in the UK, get this prescibed by your NHS GP. It will come in an identical box (with a different trade name) and an identical quantity of equipment BUT the NHS version includes three times the amount of the active solution - and you'll need that.

Actually works!
I've had a couple of patches of fungal infection on my big toenail for a couple of years now. I initially tried treating them with Scholl's daily treatment, which didn't do much, and then I tried Excilor, which did seem to get rid of them after six months or so.Unfortunately, one patch came back a few months later; I tried more Excilor, but it had no effect at all, so I gave this a try. Wow!After a month - four or five applications - the infected area looks pretty much back to normal; the discolouration is gone completely. It'll need to grow out so the damaged area can be replaced, but the infection looks to be gone. It's also a lot more convenient to only have to apply this once a week rather than twice a day.Thoroughly recommended.

Worked in two weeks!
Amazing product! I used it every day and after two weeks the infected part of my nail fell off and new the new regrowth seems fine. Will update if it comes back, but it looks promising!Update: Nearly two months later and my nail is completely healed. Absolutely fab product!Nearly 3 year update and the nail is absolutely fine, never needed to treat it again.

It is working but varnish dried out
Product started working but the varnish dried up really quickly and now I cant complete the course. Disappointing considering the price paid for it and looking through reviews it seems like this has happened to others too

Schollmed Once Weekly Fungal Nail Treatment
I have just finished a bottle of this fungal treatment and will probably re-order. Cannot say that my nails are better but they are certainly no worse and I have had the fungus on my big toenails for a long time. Will use again and see if there is any improvement. Easy to use and only once a week.

File the infected nail down, focusing on the affected areas. Clean the nail surface and surrounding area. Apply the treatment using the brush applicator, covering the entire nail. Allow the nail to dry for a few minutes. Repeat once a week for best results.
