I’ve a hefty strimmer on wheels and this line definitely fits the bill. I can’t say it’s invincible, however it lasts far longer than the toughest nylon line. Well worth the money, however keep children and animals out of its way

I bought a Fatmax V20 strimmer and replaced the rubbish plastic cord with this, it lasted way longer than the original wire, but snapped this week when I caught the edge of the concrete driveway, so pretty durable.....but propels stones and other projectiles way further and faster !

i have an sgs 50cc multi tool strimmer, as good as most pro strimmers, on 1st use of this steel wire line i thought it was excellent and lasting a long time before i had to bump feed it, however, it was actually self feeding, not enough to be hitting the excess line cutter but as it got low i did have to bump feed,i used twice as much line as i normally do cutting mainly rough grass and a small amount of brambles,for actual bramble bushes i have a mulching blade with bent ends from amazon which is brilliant at attacking higher bushes rather than trying to cut the base of them

For decades I’ve been plagued by plastic wire snapping every 30 seconds but this is the answer! Super strong and does the job.

First things first, I would advise anyone looking for a hard wearing cutting line for their strimmer to get this one. I took a few days to decide but I am so glad I bought this. I have a 500m stretch of bankside that I needed to cut the tall reeds and clumps of tall grass and this thing cut through it like a hot knife through butter. :Last year when I strimmed it I went through roughly 10 metres of plastic wire but with this metal cored strimming wire I only used at most 30cm.The only negative part of it is that if you hit a rock etc it'll take the plastic off the end and leave the bare core wire exposed. Not really a problem but worth knowing about.It does weigh quite a bit though so I would advise you to check if a non petrol strimmer can use something as heavy as this, my petrol brushcutter handled it with ease but always best to check as the weight of the strimming wire is significantly heavier than the standard plastic strimmer wire that you get.
