James Bond Scalextric - what you need to know!
This is fun, more robust than the original Scalextric's and a real winner re the loops (they totally fascinate all who see the cars going round the loops) I suggest doing as I did and get the transformer from the beginning - I can imagine the frustration with batteries. One of the better things from 2020!

Very good race track for the kids
My little boy had this for Christmas this year and he loves it, takes me back to when I was a little boy.The cars stay on the track well even at full speed and the loop the loop is great and so much fun to race.Definately recommend for a bit of fun

Car not working after 2 weeks!
This is a great car track and we had a lot of fun over Christmas but 1 of the cars stopped working within 2 weeks. There are spare connectors supplied, which we changed. The car worked briefly, and slower than the other car, before not working at all. Customer services said they would replace the car. It hasn't arrived, and following it up this week they say they have no record of the enquiry. Luckily we have! Still waiting to see if it is replaced before I return all of it for a refund.

My son loves this
Very versatile with different track set up. We bought this for our 4YO son and he has been playing with it for hours. One of the controllers stopped working on the second day. We contacted Hornby via email with Amazon order ref and within a few days they sent us a replacement. No issue since. Highly recommend this set.

A compact product.
The product is ok, but for some reason I'm in the process of being charged twice for the product and I can't see any way to talk to anyone about it!

Not fit for purpose
While not advertised, the products states that rechargeable batteries should not be used. While eventually I did find some that worked, the product itself is not robust. After a few minutes, sections of the track stopped working, such that it had to be pulled apart and refitted. This led to some sections, especially the loop-the-loop, becoming buckled. Overall, I do not think this product would last long in the hands of children and, as such, was not fit for purpose and was returned.

Great toy for any age
Great toy! Not just my children love it but adults get quite hooked up on it as well. You can build several tracks. Very simple to use for children. One downside was that one of the cars did not have a good connection with the track, however there were few spare connectors in the box that we could use to replace :)

A bit too easy
Bought for my 5 and 9 year old for Christmas. I was surprised when my 5 year old started doing laps straight away on her first go and with no particular control, just pushing the trigger fully down! I thought she was a natural! Then I realised that there's magnets holding the cars onto the track! It is good because little ones can easily play with it but it has limited play value as there is little skill involved and no possibility of improving through practice. Also they can't race eachother as both cars just go round and round at top speed, occasionally flying off, you don'tneed to slow down for corners etc as I remember I did with my Scaletrix when I was young. Also the tracks are quite hard on the hands to put together so not something I'd want to do very often. So quite disappointed over all😞
