Product description CD .com Malevolent megalomaniac or eerie artiste? Rob Zombie is a bit of both. With spooky metal music that's as colorful and kitschy as its comic art, the singer's solo debut bears more than a little resemblance to his band of many years, White Zombie. These 13 tracks (yeah, there just had to be 13!) continue to explore Zombie's fascination with psychotic noise, pummeling grooves, campy samples, and all things horrific. Instead of just playing dictator, however, this astrocreep allows space for cohorts such as guitarist Danny Lohner and drummers John Tempesta and Tommy Lee to shine darkly. He also shares artistic credit for the LP's elaborate 24-page booklet. Zombie's finely crafted disc is heavy-metal thunder that's turbocharged for the new millennium. --Janiss Garza P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Review ...Zombies' cartoonish antics are too over the top to really get under your skin. -- Entertainment Weekly See more

Cracked case
CD is perfect, Amazon shipped it in a soft envelope, the case was cracked. It doesn't matter to me, the CD is going in my car and I have a lot of extra CD cases.

What IS it about Rob Zombie that I find appealing?
I am not generally a Heavy metal or Punk Rock fan. When it comes to music I'm into the classic "hard" rock of Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, the esoteric philosophical musings of The Doors, and the pop-to-psychodelic explorations of The Beatles. I can enjoy a horror movie once in a while, but am really not a huge fan of the genre. I never read horror comics when I was a kid; I just had no interest in them. So why do I like Rob Zombie's music and art so much? Hell, I don't know. Maybe its Zombie's in-your-face kitsch. Maybe its just because that whole Zombie persona, which to me says "If you don't like it, eat me." But then, I have a whole pantheon of individualists I admire; Aleistar Crowley, Anton LeVay, Ambrose Bierce, Stephen Crane, Jack London... and so on. All I know is, whenever I came across Zombie (be it solo work or White Zombiest) I found myself paying attention and, voilà!, one day I was a fan.

Fun with Rob Zombie
Rob is so much fun. How can anyone not love "Living Dead Girl" and "Dragula"? Those songs always get me singing along and lift my mood. The whole CD is great but those two prompted me to buy it. It has a great insert with some fun artwork and words to the songs that you do want to sing along with. Rob is consistent, and even though many of his songs are similar, I still enjoy them all. Some people don't know that Zombie is a very intelligent and talented guy in many areas. He is a director and even directed a commercial in Europe. Anyway, I love this CD and never get tired of it. "Hellbilly Deluxe". Rob, you crack me up and you still rock.
