It isn’t as thick as I was wanting but that’s ok. It’s sturdy and has lots of pockets. I work in a warehouse so I am constantly being active but still constantly cold. Wearing jackets as I worked got on my nerves and I couldn’t move as much so I decided to get a vest. I didn’t want anything cheap so I knew I wanted Carhart. I love it! The pockets are awesome and I love the hood as well. I was nervous about the fit because of reviews but I normally wear a medium. I’m 5’7 150 size 8-10 and it fit perfect. A little big but I wanted it that way to layer and wear sweatshirts underneath.

I ordered this in Medium and I'm so glad I did! While I often wear small in clothes and prefer a tighter fit, I wanted this vest to be a bit larger so it would comfortably fit over sweatshirts and zip up comfortably. The Medium was perfect. For reference, I'm 5'7, 34C, 155 lbs.One thing I love about the vest is that it's not super wide at the top of the shoulder, which other vests tend to be (and look too boxy).

I've waited a majority of my life to own a carhartt coat, or vest. It's warm and it MINE. Fits great. Don't feel the wind. Quality is perfect! I will probably have this until the day I die. Also, big pockets!

Reading reviews, there were some issues with sizing. I have a Carhartt jacket, size M, which is 'roomy', but preferred so I can layer comfortably underneath, and have room to move when working outside. I bought this vest for milder winter days, and wanted a hood because the first thing to get cold on me is my neck/ears If I'm working outside, etc. I usually warm up after a bit, so the vest is a nice alternative to a full jacket to keep me warm but not hot.I bought the medium and it's perfect. I'm 5' 7", 150 lbs, curvy. It fits as I expected, i.e. has some room so it's not 'fitted', but that's not what I was shooting for. I wanted something to layer with and with the arm holes sized perfectly on this vest I can wear sweaters, hoodies, flannels, whatever in any number of layer combos and still feel comfortable and not packed in like a sausage. Could be a touch longer to protect from drafts when stooping/bending, but it's workable.So glad I bought it - hope to get many years use out of it!

I bought an extra small based on reviews. It’s perfect for my dog training job. I’m too hot in my jacket carhartt inside but get cold outside. This has been perfect for my job and the reason I bought it. It’s just enough thanks to the hood. Loved the black but decided in the grey because it doesn’t show muddy paw prints as easy and was $10 cheaper than the black. This vest is way more roomy than expected. I can wear it over my winter puffy jacket. It’s looser than my Carhartt full swing jacket (small). Unless you have a large chest I’d size down, I’m a 32 B for reference. Very happy with my purchase but way oversized. It looks a little nicer based on how you style it but it definitely looks like I’m going camping or something. Carhartt doesn’t make cute clothes they make functional clothes for rugged lifestyles so skip this if you want a cute vest. It’s boxy, oversized and a tough material. Only thing I don’t like is the material is a little rough on my arms when wearing shorts sleeves. Not comfortable but is functional for my rough and tough job. This vest should take a good beating.

I got a black medium and typically wear a medium so it’s true to size. It’s SO cute and warm and has lots of pockets. I love it and wear it with every sweatshirt.

So cute and very comfortable. Runs a little big, but I usually have a long sleeve layer underneath and fits fine with some wiggle room.
