Sloggers Women's Wide Brim Braided Sun Hat with Wind Lanyard - UPF 50+ Maximum Sun Protection

Great sun hat. My wife loves it!

I've tried a few straw sunhats and have finally found the perfect one for me. The crown's not too high (as many are), and the brim is wide enough (but not clumsily wide) to shield your face and neck from harmful sunlight. Not too big or too small, it fits my rather large head perfectly. I really like that the brim holds its shape too; it's not too floppy or flimsy. I bought the Sloggers 4405ST Bridied Sunhat in Stone, and was please to find it so well made: it has a nice, wide interior "sweat band" and a lanyard to hold the hat in place on windy days (I just flip it toward the back so it stays out of the way). I was surprised at the pretty and unusual pattern of the hat–it doesn't show well in the photo, but it's like a light beige with horizontal brownish and white stripes of varying widths and shades throughout the crown and brim. I also like the double braid around the base of the crown instead of the usual ribbon. Yes, as the description says, it has become my favorite everyday hat! (The size is labeled inside as22 1/2".) And, it's packable too! (Only one complaint: they way it was packed when shipped left two small dent marks in the front of the brim; of course, it had to be the front. I'm hoping they'll come out in time.) It's different, very attractive, and keeps my face and neck safe from the sun's rays.

I already have one of these hats in the darker brown color and I am wearing it so much I wanted to get this one in the lighter color.This hat hit all the marks: first of all I look cute in it, which is primary. Beyond that it fits well, has the nice lanyard to keep it from blowing off my head in breezy weather, and it works as it should to protect my face and neck from sun exposure.

I love this hat although it was a bit big. Since I couldn’t adjust the size I had to put a strip off foam under the band and now it fits great.

This hat was perfect for a Cancun vacation! I wore it hiking, boating and relaxing at the pool. It packed well and handled being tossed around and held up great.

I like this hat a lot and it protects my scalp and skin nicely!

I have a Slogger hat that I have owned for probably 5 years. It is getting faded so I ordered this one. It isn't near the quality of my old hat. My old hat is thicker and lays completely flat. I have let this one sit out of the box, on a table since I received it and it still does not lay flat. I even laid books down on the brim for several days and that did not flatten it at all. I was really excited about getting a new on. I've told everyone about how great my old hat is, but I cannot recommend this one. I think returning it is the best option at this point.

I ended up having to add 2 new eyelets to replace the 1 I lost (so both sides matched). Strap is cheaply made but at least it was easy to replace.
