Delicious tea to start your day with!
This is great tea, and even though I received the wrong tea in the previous order (sent Scottish Breakfast tea), it was an easy mistake to forgive. Both teas are delicious, but Famous Edinburgh is my fave of the two. Makes a rich cup of tea quickly—I don’t steep it too long or it will be too strong for my stomach. The tin is classy, too. Also makes excellent, robust iced tea. Highly recommended!

A delicious tea to wake up to each morning. Strong and malty exactly what a Scottish Breakfast tea should be.

Okay tea, great tin
The tea is okay! I want to talk about the canister first though, since that's primarily the reason I bought it. It's definitely beautiful, well-made, and perfectly reusable. I was unsure if it would come with an inner lid but it did! Even the inner lid is adorned with fleur de lis designs for a wonderful presentation. Seems very airtight and is actually somewhat difficult to open at times. The "Royal Scottish" label on the front is just a sticker, easy to remove so you can label it with any tea you happen to refill the tin with. While the Brodies site doesn't say what the blend is, TheScottishGrocer site says it is a blend of Assam and Ceylon. My first few brews were astringent - I think this is because I used only 1tsp, and it took a long hot brew to get any color or flavor out of it. My next brews were much better. I upped my leaf to two and a half teaspoons, put in a large infuser basket, and used slightly cooler water. Then I only had to brew for about a minute or so to get a great cup, with multiple steeps afterward. I do not add cream or sugar to this but I'm sure it takes it well. Even without sugar, you actually get a nice naturally sweet finish toward the end of a well-brewed cup.I've steeped probably more than 10 baskets of this tea so far, and of those 10 baskets I've pulled out about 4 stems. The tea is inexpensive so I'm not complaining. I'd say this is a very passable breakfast tea, and 100% worth the purchase if you enjoy collecting unique tea tins.

Nice Tea!
The media could not be loaded. I've had Scottish Teas in Scotland, and wanted to experience that here at home in the US. I bought this after trying some Scottish Tea in teabags (different brand), and feeling let down that there was no boldness or true flavor. I based this choice of customer reviews, and I'm glad I did, because this tea is wonderfully delicious and bold.I've tried it sweetened with milk, alone, and with a touch of fresh Meyer Lemon juice. I like it with the lemon and plain, no sweetener, best! It's sent in a beautiful container and I especially like the doubled up top (see the video for some detailing). The tea was super fresh, and the tightly sealed container tells me it will remain that way for a while! It is not a strong smelling tea, like Earl Grey or English Breakfast, and it has it's own special scent. Pictured, I served it with some avocado toast & feta, and found it complemented my meal well. I also enjoy it without meals, as a nice cup of tea in the morning or afternoon!Because it's such good quality tea, for the price, I'll be purchasing this again, and now will explore their other teas!Enjoy!

Decent tea but weird aftertaste
I fell in love with lemon elderflower tea in the UK, but it's hard to find in the US. I was thrilled for this one, but I'm not a huge fan. It has a bitter aftertaste to it that can be compensated for some with a ton more sugar than I would usually use, but in the end it's only okay. Compared to other loose leaf teas, it's a decent value, but I won't be ordering it again.
