GATSBY MOVING RUBBER AIR RISE Hair Wax, 80g/2.8oz

Never really write reviews but this hair wax (moving rubber) is the product I have been searching for all my life. I have very thick, straight, medium Asian hair (mullet style) and this product actually works very well on my hair.Love how the wax is damp so when putting it in your hair, you can form it exactly how you want it without overly pushing down on a certain part of your head.Great product if you want more volume or going for a Korean look with the bangs flared up with a middle part. Styles like mullet, wolf cut, perm, even short-long hair on top with a fade.What I found that works is wetting my hair and using sea salt spray first. Then using a ceramic curling brush and blow drying my hair to form how I want it. Final touch is using the gatsby moving rubber then hair spray.This review is for guys who have similar hair types and have been waiting to find the right product or not knowing if you should buy this. TRY IT!!!

Pros:- THIS STUFF SMELLLSSS GREATTTT!!- Really airy lift, this stuff is simply amazing!!- If you put the perfect amount, it makes it so your hair is soft, but it stays up- Packaging is extremely slick and modern- I've been using gatsby for 2 years now and I'll never try anything again!!!- This stuff lasts forever if you use it correctly! I can go almost 3-4 months on one bottle!!Cons:- If you use too much it makes your hair extremely hard and immobile- Dirt and hair gets stuck in between the threads of the cap and it gets kinda gross- The Gatsby is super green, so when you see your old black hair floating in the container, kind of grossI would highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone!! I've been using it for over 2 years and I can't get enough. After I get out of the shower, I lightly dry my hair until it is at the borderline of damp and dry. If you try to use this product while your hair is dry, it will not work very well (in my opinion). I work a little into my fingertips, and I touch the tips of my hair first. After I do that, I work the base of my hair, and then I run my hands through all of my hair. This technique really allows me to conserve the product for months on end and makes my hair extremely light and airy. I would highly recommend this product to all my friends and family. I know there are a lot of gatsby's to try, but if you want a nice light and airy one with medium to long hair, then try this one!I did not receive any money or compensation for this review. This is a great product, no doubt about it, and I really love the smell of gatsby (perhaps even addicted), but its really not for my hair type. At first bought this along with the pink one, wondering which one would be better for my hair, but then i realized both are just not good enough to even come close to styling my hair without the heavy use of hairspray. First and foremost, I most likely inherited the bald gene from my grandfather passed down via my mom (whose scalp is 85%+ visible, no matter how much she dyes her hair), and since my hair is very soft, very thin, and cant defy gravity, its a tremendous disadvantage for me as the years go by and more hair falls off. I've let friends use them instead, of all hair types, and they work absolutely well, with that extra gatsby fragrance to kick it up a notch, but no matter if my hair is long (+6in) or short (1-4in) neither the pink or the green gatsby wax products works. Hopefully other buyers will be weary as the wax tends to really stick to your hair, however extremely easy to wash off, and even okay for daily or extended use.

I think this is the first wax which I have tried that actually works as advertised, and then some. To begin with, it has a great soft and moist consistency which allows for easy spreading on dry hair. Other wax that I have used before were overly dry, and very difficult to apply to the entire head, as they leave all the product behind on the initial application. Not so with the Moving Rubber, it is pleasant to apply to the finger, and spreads evenly on my hair from beginning to end. It styles easily, and does not leave behind hair that is overly stiff. It also leaves a matte look (other products leave flakes or a wet look behind). The smell is artificially fruity, but pleasant. The hair is re-stylable throughout the day without collapsing or needing additional application of more wax. All this is from a dime-sized dab in the morning. This is the first wax that gave me the stylized messy bed head in just the right way...something I've almost given up trying for. I will definitely buy again.

I started with the Pink Moving Rubber and heard this one has more flex. It's GREAT although I need more than I'd like, so I don't use it too often. It's NOT sticky (Pink is/can be). You can also add water to these then put it in your hair for a different kind of application. I use it straight and watered down. It helps me with my frizz and to keep my waves/soft curls tamed. I'm a fan.

Great product for thicker asian hair. Great hold throughout the day yet soft to the touch. Doesn't flake or clump. Both scents are mild and pleasant.

This product is really tacky… hard to distribute on my hair type. I purchased this item to decrease frizz and keep my hair in place but not “stiff”. It did the opposite. I find when using this product and diffusing my hair it is more frizzy then when I leave my hair naked. You also can’t brush your hair once product is in. It binds hairs together making it difficult to brush. This is my first experience using this product so maybe I am doing it wrong.

Great smell. It was just what I was looking for. I had bought this gel back in Japan and loved it and so I had to have it again. I will for sure buy it from here.
