Q: are these printed on both sides?

Depends. If they send you the set that is pictured then yes, they're printed on both sides and very vibrant colors. I ordered two sets and only got one that was as pictured and described. The other was smaller, not vibrant and was only printed on one side.

These aren't lanterns, they're fans. They are basically flat circles when you assemble so there would be no place for a candle. Plus they're paper and would probably catch fire.

Q: One person posted that two have margarita and cacti images on them? Can that be verified? That won't work for my son's birthday party.

Hello! Its possible those who received images on their paper fans just happened to have their order fulfilled incorrectly due to human error! We at DF Warehouse carry only the multicolor paper fans that are pictured so no possible mixups here :)
