This book is the best!
This book is absolutely gorgeous. The images on the pages are vibrant and beautiful. The prompts are on point and great for encouraging you to process emotions and identifying things within and beyond personal control. I recommend this book to patients regularly, especially those who struggle with journaling.

A calming tool during a tumultuous year
It's pretty amazing this book was published when it was. I'm writing this review in October of 2020 and I'm feeling extra weighed down by the heaviness of the year (though I know the content will be applicable in any year because, unfortunately, anxiety and fear will always be something we all have to manage).CREATE YOUR OWN CALM came into my life at the perfect moment. I've been working through it and the thoughtful prompts ground me and bring me back to what is most important. I can tackle it piece by piece or work through several pages at once, it's kind of a choose your own adventure.The journaling part is great but so is the art! The quotes add important Iperspective...plus they're beautiful! I love having this sit on my coffee table because it's so darn pretty. Every page is a masterpiece.I will be buying these for friends! Highly recommend.

Love this so much!
Love this journal! I've bought a few to give as gifts and have gotten great feedback from them. I'll buy more in the future! So beautiful, well thought out, artistic and great prompts.

So pretty and love the prompts
This book is essentially CBT based and helps you alter your thought process through nice prompts and pretty watercolor illustrations. I've enjoyed going through the book doing the different activities and writings. I recommend this book! :)

Easing Anxiety in a Year of Uncertainty
Since my early 20's, I've dealt with bouts of anxiety that usually result in sleepless nights, a pit in my stomach, or dreams where my teeth fall out. Now I am in my 30's, facing a world of unknowns and uncertainties that I didn't know were possible. In September, I entered my fourth year of teaching high school...in a pandemic. I probably don't need to explain beyond that why my anxiety has risen to new heights. I decided to search for something to help me get through this unpredictable year, and thankfully I stumbled upon this beautiful journal.Create Your Own Calm has taught me that when I check in with myself, and pay attention to my fears/inner voice, I can begin to deconstruct and understand the roots of my anxiety. It has provided me with structure and tools to help me confront my anxiety through helpful exercises (mental and physical), thoughtful quotes, and Meera Lee Patel's encouraging voice. This special journal has found a permanent place on my desk and in my daily routine.

Book
Love how there’s uplifting quotes on every other page and how it asks to write down specific things on your mind. Some days you have lots to get out of your head and this helps you not feel so “jumbled” inside.

Very unique journal
The media could not be loaded. I have never seen such unique way of journaling, it will specially those who are always confused from where to start or how to start journaling(like me)Really loved the quality, it looks like a book❤️Will update a month later about how it helped me to cope up with my anxiety

Great way for self help with anxiety
The media could not be loaded. I bought this book to help me through my anxiety. Very pleased with it and some great things in there, well worth the money. Just a shame it is a dirty marked book.

Bought an extra copy for my daughter
Thank you to Michael O’Mara Books and Love Books Tours for the opportunity to read and review this beautiful ‘self-help’ book.2020 has increased the anxiety levels of the majority of people, with increased health and financial worries due to the global pandemic. It is difficult to avoid ‘bad news’ on TV or the internet at the moment, but this book gives you time to reflect and recharge.In my work life, I work with young people, encouraging them to reflect on their past work and achievements and values before looking forward to their future. However, this is something I rarely do myself. However since this book arrived last week, I’ve been looking through it and taking time to think about the different ideas it suggests.The book is beautiful to look at, full of colour and quotes, with lots of activities to encourage you to think and reflect. I haven’t kept a personal diary or journal since my first pregnancy 18 years ago but I will be using this book in 2021 to see if I can reduce my anxiety levels. My 15 year old daughter has asked me to buy a copy for her too.
