High value tool
This tool replaces my plastic, rubber and wooden door stops. Works as a floor stop, if door is too heavy or gap to large, hook on the hinge and put wedge in the door jam, holds door open without the possibility of being kicked or loosening suddenly while you are working on the doors. If you install card access, automatic doors. This tool is a must

Works great to keep door open
Used in door above hinge to keep door open for movers. Worked great. They asked for info so they could get one too! Sturdy, simple construction. Really like the bright color too. Minimizes 'losing' it or leaving it behind.

Wedge-It, Door Stopper
Easy to use, durable and will last a long time. It fits perfectly to keep a door open and does not slip once in place.

Wedge-It is Wonderful!
I first became aware of this door stop through a handyman magazine, and unlike most new gadgets, I was able to order it minutes after I read about it on Amazon.com. I liked that! I do some maintenance work part-time, and need to duck in and out of doors with spring loaded hinges or closers - like every 10 minutes. Restrooms, offices, loading docks, and well, you get the point. The manufacturer has a video and an instructions on line at [...]. The maker suggests using the stop in one of three ways, A) Hung over the hinge preventing the door from closing, B) At the top of the door (which I still don't quite get), and finally C) With the black rubber tabs facing down to create friction, with the wedge sticking under the door as one would use like a regular door stop. I use methods A & C.The Wedge-It is advertised as being made of Lexan [...]), and appears to be injection molded with softer black rubber pads affixed to both pad the faces as well as to create enough skid to use Wedge-It on smooth surfaces. I have not picked or probed to see if they are glued on, mechanically fastened, or what. The first couple times I used a Wedge-it, I heard both steel and wood frames groan a little as the closers and spring loaded hinges tried to do their thing. After using the Wedge-It for about a month or two, I have observed a few nicks in the two units I have, mostly from dropping them on to concrete walks, but there are no hairline cracks or fractures. Wedge-It can and does leave some dents in metal frames and can mar a wood finish, but it's usually minimal and in a non-obvious place, and no one has seemed to notice up to now. But you've been warned.Wedge-It is everything I hoped it would be for my particular applications. Having said that though, I would suggest prospective users consider my observation, quite by accident, that Wedge-It is from time-to-time stronger than the the materials used in manufacturing the door, frame and hinges. Case in point: inexpensive hollow core door installed with lightweight hardware (hinges & screws), and a stout, institutional hydraulic door closer. Ever eat lobster or Alaskan crab legs before? Crunch-crack-crunch? That's what a hinge failure due to an obstruction sounds like.Overall I give the product an enthusiastic five stars. It saves me time, banging into doors, marring doors with carts and bins, and the various bright colors not only make the units easily visible, but difficult to forget. Like any good tool, I have had to back track my steps to find a forgotten Wedge-It, but all one must do is look for the obvious open door. Oh yeah, the bright colors also show up against used white and brown paper hand towels for when a Wedge-It gets dropped in a garbage sack, and one must do some digging to recover the lost item.I know this review seems a bit windy, but I rank the Wedge-It right up with my other favorite invention/development, the wheel. It's that good. Buy two while you're at it.

Works nice
Have used as all 3 positions and it works really nice. Could be a little cheaper, but is well made.

The perfect door stop!
I received a black one from a hotel housekeeper as a gift and lost it in a hotel ironically. I found this same Wedge-it on Amazon in orange and had no problem with the price, bought it! I hope to keep this one around longer because it is bright orange, easy to see on the floor. It's even works on a door that has a 2" gap by turning it up vertically. It works on carpet and slick floors as well. Highly recommended. Awesome product, it should be advertised more! Smooth, fast purchase too. Thanks Amazon!

More useful than I expected
I got this for my get home bag. It's a great tool for emergencies, but I've found it useful around the house at random times when I need to prop the door open
