Elijah & Elisha: The Mantle for God’s People Paperback – July 1, 2019

God is so Good. I recently looked for a book on the prophets Elijah and Elisha and did not find anything. I checked audible and regular book stores. When I did not find any, I thought maybe I will write it. After all, a wise author once said, “ Write the book you want to read”. Lo and behold I was searching for scripture art for my office wall, and I believe I typed in “ Psalm 91” and Russell’s book returned in the results. I instantly clicked on it because the title clearly shows Elijah & Elisha. I was so happy and surprised. I bought the book right away. I’m so glad I did because it was all that I expected from a book about these two super faithful persons. Anyone who loves the Bible will appreciate Russell’s book. It is true and accurate and really expounds on the life and deeds of God’s most faithful and faith-filled prophets. It is a must read and truly inspiring. Thank you so much Russell.

I often think about these two prophets. Why Elijah ran from Jezebel (fear) when our Lord showed great miracles through him. Why Elisha wasn't transitioned as Elijah had been. The Faith that it took for them to stand firm in the flesh and let God work the spiritual battles through them. Our Heavenly Father chooses to work through us and each day is a spiritual battle that He will win; if you just be still and know that He is God. What sounds so simple is actually so hard to do as the visual (pressure) can seem so daunting even though through faith we know that the (unseen) Trinity (our Father, Jesus, and our Indwelling Holy Spirit) is vastly so much more powerful! It is great "Faith" that makes the difference. This is a good book about the study of these two prophets; the double portion and the change that takes place when it comes through. Interpretations can differ but this is an excellent one of the ministry of these two and how it relates to today's times. I urge you to read it and learn.

There are quite a few useful things in this book concerning scripture, but like with all books the person has to slowly figure what is factual, and non-factual.

I found the book to be informative and inspirational. I got this book after I accidentally stumbled across it. However, after reading the book, I'm of the belief that I was divinely lead to it rather than I accidentally came across it.I'm currently experiencing a double portion of God's anointing on my life as I serve within the church I attend and as I minister into the life of young people throughout the city of Memphis. It was revealed unto me that the plight among many of our youth, the violence, corrupt politics, unjust legislation, and spiritually dead churches is a season filled with opportunities for the people of God to walk in divine purpose.Therefore, reading this book provided me with a greater understanding and appreciation of that spiritual revelation. God is doing something in our midst even though on the surface it may not look like it. I am thankful for this book which I would recommend to any believer striving to live a purpose-filled life in the midst of this dark world that is filled with apostasy. Thank you Russell M. Stendal.

I am loving this book! I have read the Bible so many times and yet I am learning new information as I read this book - 'why didn't I think of that' I tell myself. For students of the Bible and those that love the Lord I highly recommend this wonderful book - I am sending a copy to a dear friend. I will have to check out what else Mr. Stendal has written.As I came to the end of this book he had an idea about the rapture that I am not certain about.... hmmm.

I was interested in a commentary on The Song, but I received something more. C.R. Oliver's interpretation of the Song is so profound. Each page brings you closer to knowing the Lord in a more personal way. It is a must read for any serious and growing Bible believer who loves the Lord. You will gain deeper insights and your walk will be closer and sweeter. Please take time to enjoy this amazing book and fellowship with our Lord as you read this amazing book.

I stumbled upon this book on one of the nights where I awakened and couldn't get back to sleep. After reading the description I downloaded it. It's interesting to see a couple of videos that were already on this digital version of the book before you start reading. Very compelling as it gives you an overview of what God's people face daily. I also downloaded the Jubilee Radio app.I'm so happy and blessed to have come across this book. It really reached me. It broke down the true meaning of 1 and 2 Kings in the Bible that many don't understand. I sure didn't! Until I read this book. The stories actually reflect what has happened and is happening today...they were examples to warn and instruct us.I pray for the ministries of this author to continue to reach others as they extend into wider audiences with each person that God is assigning to hear the water of His word.

Even with the best of intentions, we trample G/D's designs. Until we learn to follow his lead by abandoning ourselves to him utterly, thereby yielding the vessel. Incredible read. Impressive bona fides for the Author. I began re-reading as soon as I had completed my first journey through the pages... Great book!
