The best.
Walker's is the source of the most authentic, most pure, best-tasting, traditional Scottish treats that I have ever been able to buy. Just like Mom used to make, with no factory ingredients. I've been buying and loving their products (shortbread cookies, mince pies, and oat cakes) for decades. I've never found an equal (except Mom). Once you have sampled their products, you know you've had the real thing. They've spoiled me. I won't buy imitations.

a taste of Scotland
These oatcakes are traditional Scottish fare for breakfast or for an afternoon pick me up. They are best lightly toasted - add butter and honey or a dash of cinnamon sugar and I'm back in the Highlands. While Walkers shortbread is easy to find in many grocery stores the oatcakes don't seem to make it across the pond. I was delighted to find that Amazon was willing to make them available.

No taste
I fell in love with Walker's Highland Oatcakes back in the 70s. I visited twice and they were amazing. I was expecting the same, especially after reading reviews, but there is no comparison to what they used to be and what they are now. They used to have a real hardy, oaty flavor, but I’m sorry to say these taste just like cardboard! Big disappointment.

Love this one, though Nairns outstanding too
I'm a huge oatcakes fan. Developed the passion whilst visiting our daughter living in UK. A dozen years ago, I could buy them in USA. Somehow all my grocery chains from Mariano's to The Jewel no longer stock. So as I told one, back to Amazon, purveyor of the hard to find item.Yes, these are high in fat but dense in flavor. So only one, maybe two of a time.

Not sweet
These are a nice quality oatcake but not what I was looking for. I want a Walkers oatcake or shortbread like the one I had in Scotland that was essentially a shortbread cookie but with oats. The closest thing I can find to it are Effie’s oatcakes which I will continue to order.

Should be a staple in your pantry.
Use it with different cheeses in the evening and sometime for breakfast. Really great snack.

These are NOT cookies! NOT sweet.
You either love these or hate them.I got them by mistake. I was looking for a type of shortbread and saw these. Walkers is my favorite. There is a difference between Walkers and the Danish ones you see at Christmas. I am happy with just one and will truly savor it, eating it slowly, enjoying each chew. I also love oatmeal. When I saw the photo of these, I thought this is perfect, 2 of my favs in one box and by a favorite vendor. When I got it and took a bite, at first I didn't like it. My husband hated it from day 1 and still hates them. Fine with me! By the time I finished it and actually decided I liked it. You can taste the butter in it, the oatmeal, and it isn't too salty or gungy like an American snack cracker. (Hard for me to explain.) It's sort of like eating a shortbread cracker, instead of a sweet shortbread cookie.I only gave it 4 stars cause the only place I can get them is on Amazon, and a long wait for shipping. It worth the wait, but I have to plan. They arrived in great shape and I wouldn't hesitate to order again. Additionally, the the nutritional values are a bit odd. I couldn't quite figure them out. I just know from what I read, I quit eating 2 at a time, and went back to just one. ;-)
