LASCO 17-5829 3/8-Inch Female Flare by 1/4-Inch Male Flare Brass Adapter

We replaced our old dryer from the medieval age that came with the house we bought. The gas flare of the old dryer was 5/8”. The new dryer gas pipe needed a 1/2” flare. This was the perfect solution for $15 instead of paying a plumber couple of hundred bucks at least, to change out the whole gas pipe.The female side of this went snugly on top of the existing flare. The male side fitted perfectly to the new gas pipe that came with the new dryer.Did not find this at any of the big box stores.

Needed this for my minisplit. One of the zones had a bigger fitting than my line so I called the company I got it from to ask if that was a mistake. They said they do that and it should have come with an adapter but I didn't have it. He told me that the minimum fitting PSI should be 350. I looked at the box stores (Orange, Blue and Green) and couldn't find what I needed. Found it on Amazon but there wasn't a pressure rating on it. Asked a question and it was answered very quickly by another person that ordered it as well. He said it was rated at 700 PSI. I wanted to confirm so I copied the manufacturer and part number and it took me to the manufacturer website which had the correct information. It is rated for 700 PSI so I ordered it. Part looks well-made.

Great product, great price, great service.

Wasn't thrilled spending $11 on a $2 fitting but not many options. For some reason all the big box stores don't carry this fitting. It is 1/2 female flare to 3/8 male flare. Allthe others are 1/2 female npt ot fip.

Had to buy some propane adapters after my side burner hose started leaking propane. Unfortunately there was no replacement hose for my Broil King grill. You have to buy the entire valve assembly which was way too pricey. Bought a 2ft propane hose but the connectors on the hose were 3/4in female and the grill connection was 1/4in male. Was able to find this flared adapter to use on the hose and everything fitted perfectly. Checked for leaks and there were none. The adapter is a bit pricey but worth it compared to my other option. It's been two months now and I've been using the grill weekly. No issues with leaks at all.

I was glad the wait was finally over. I had a dryer gas line installed and the dryer delivered but the reducer was no where in sight. I went here and there and nothing fit, either it wasn't a flared thread or it wasn't the right size. I read a previous review of a guy that had the same issue with a natural gas line that was 3/4 that he needed reduced to 1/2. The wait was just too long to assemble all the pieces I was provided when I purchased the washer dryer. Oh and they gave me the wrong kit too. Wish I'd just came in to Amazon.

We are trying to find one of these for our new propane fireplace. This is a good product, it just was not the one we needed. Lasco fittings/adapters are a great product.
